1. Spritz a 5×7 canvas board with blue spray mist. Let dry thoroughly.
2. Freehand cut a rounded boat shape from a scrap piece of cardstock. Cover the entire surface with Tombow Mono Adhesive Power Bond and then adhere pieces of twine until the whole shape is covered. Trim away any excess.
3. Mask off all but a center strip on the boat with scrap paper. Paint center stripe red. Edge boat with dark brown ink. Stamp splatter onto boat, if desired. Adhere boat to the bottom of the canvas using the Power Bond adhesive.
4. Cut a thin strip of recycled cardboard, edge with brown ink, and adhere to the canvas using the Tombow Glue Pen.
5. Draw lines coming down from either side of the mast to the top of the boat with the Tombow Glue Pen and adhere hemp cord. Tie the ends of the hemp into knots and adhere with more Glue Pen adhesive.
6. Cut patterned paper into a triangular sail. I used a printed journaling card for mine. For the smaller paper sails, trim down pennant die cuts, or create your own using patterned paper. Edge sails with dark brown ink and add a bit of red paint. I crumpled my main sail for a bit more texture. Add brads, and adhere sails to the mast. Adhere a loop of twine and a bow of hemp to the top of the mast.
7. Create a custom button using the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Button Studio Tool. Adhere button to the main sail. Make two pennants with the Epiphany Crafts Pennant 25 Shape Studio Tool. Adhere pennants to the mast.
8. Braid twine and hot glue to the edges of the frame.
