Heading back to school is an exciting but crazy time in our house. Gone are the days of organized school supply lists now that my kiddos are both in high school. I’ll have one child tell me he needs a flash drive by Friday and two binders and dividers by Wednesday, while the other child tells me she needs filler paper and comp books by Thursday. And then the next day I’ll get a whole new set of needs. It can be a bit overwhelming. So my best back to school tip is get organized, make a list, and keep it with you.

Couple of things I keep in mind for such a project are:

1. Get a note pad that’s small enough to easily carry around with you
2. Get something cheapy cheap so that you don’t mind tearing out the pages once you’re done with them.

And then have fun decorating the cover to turn your cheapy cheap note pad into something that makes you happy. Trust me, you won’t mind your To-Do lists half as much that way.

I covered my pad with patterned papers, journaling tablet pages and die cuts. Added a bit of trim and a tiny paper clip. And finished things off with some custom epoxy embellishments made with the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Shape Studio Tool and Round 14 Clear Bubble Caps.

Happy Back to School time!
