This week is Back to School!! Since most kids don’t enjoy going back to school I thought a fun art project would be awesome to show you guys this week. This is easy to make and will be fun to do with the kiddos.
To make the canvas:
1.) First, Gather your supplies. Adhere the crayons as you like to the top of the canvas. I did a rainbow of colors, however have fun with it!! Secure with tight rubber bands.
2.) Before you start your project, lay down some wax paper or newspaper because this project MAY get a little messy. Using the blow dryer several inches from the crayons, heat the crayons. I found the the crayon will drip and splatter in the direction you are pointing the blow dryer. Also, the closer the blow dryer is to the project THE MORE it will splatter.
3.) As the crayons drip, they dry pretty quickly if they are not heated. So, if you want longer drips, let the crayon drip half way down then heat the lower half of the crayon drips.
4.) To finish up your creation, have fun with mists, paints, scrappy goods, and of course EPIPHANY CRAFTS products!!! I used the star tool on this project.
HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

Very cool technique!
Very pretty!! I like this technique better than having the crayons glued to the canvas. Great job, love it!!!!
Fun project and great tutorial. I’m hitting the sales to buy crayons and letting the kids try this project.
Especially love that you used rubber bands and did not glue the crayons on. Thanks for sharing the fun,
Fantastic Sarah love it!!!
