The Team
Tricia Barrett
Hi, I’m Tricia and I am the “idea girl” behind Epiphany Crafts. I wanted to develop products that were easy to use, a good value, and something you could reuse over and over again. One day when I was throwing together a few layouts I needed a blue button and despite my huge stash of products I just couldn’t find a button that matched. I said to Brian, “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was something that let you make your own buttons?” He looked at me very seriously and said “I can do that”. And from that simple idea Epiphany Crafts was born.
I have nearly ten years experience in the scrapbooking and papercraft industry-from our first company, Li’l Davis Designs, through its acquisition by Fiskars, and then serving there as Creative Director- I have learned a lot over the years. Most importantly, I know how much I love this industry and the people in it! So much so that I just couldn’t stay away and decided to put all my creative energy into Epiphany Crafts.
There is nothing more important than preserving our family memories. When we started LDD, Davis came to the office with us in a onesie and with a bottle. Now she is ten years old and growing into a beautiful young lady. She loves art, singing, and acting. She is a straight A student and volunteers in an art class for students with Autism. Time flies by so fast so we need to document the special family times and the everyday memories.
My scrapbook style is best described as simple. I hardly ever crop my photos and if a layout takes more than thirty minutes I just move on. I try to add one unique embellishment or feature to every page as well as some journaling, even if it’s just a few simple words.
When I’m not scrapbooking I enjoy spending time with my family, flea market shopping, home decorating, and party planning. I love all things vintage and I collect vintage enamelware, Pyrex, and lots and lots of 1950’s era dishes.I hope you enjoy our line of products and have as much fun using them as we have creating them.
Brian Fogg
Hi, I’m Brian and I am the “art guy” at Epiphany Crafts. With an extensive background in graphic design I make what Tricia sees in her head look like the “real” thing. Some people think I might be crazy to work with my wife, essentially twenty-four hours a day, and on some days I even agree- but I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s so exciting to develop products that people use and love. After starting Li’l Davis Designs and then working for Fiskars, it’s great to be a part of Epiphany Crafts and creating fun, easy to use products.
When I’m not taking orders from Tricia, I am spending time with Davis, playing guitar, or snowboarding. I collect vintage guitars and display them in our “hobby room” where my corner is slowly being taken over by Tricia’s scrapbook stuff.
For all the latest updates and for an inside look at all the crazy stuff we are up to become a fan of Epiphany Crafts on Facebook - I hope to see you there!
Michelle Hill
Hi, I’m Michelle and I get to do all the really fun stuff at Epiphany Crafts- booth décor, layouts, and class projects. I have been a crafter for over fifteen years and have loved every minute of it! Scrapbooking is my passion and something I look forward to doing every day. I have been a hobby scrapbooker, a CM consultant, a store owner, a teacher, and Creative Director for Li’l Davis Designs. Through these opportunities I was able to travel all over the world, teaching at conventions, trade shows, stores, and special events. There is nothing I enjoy more than sharing my love of crafting with others!
I started my own kit club, Polka Dot Whimsy, in 2007 to provide inspiration and project orientated kits to all of my fellow scrapbookers out in the world. Having four crazy children and one adorable grandbaby, plus a super cute husband that I call my personal saint, staying home with my family has always been very important to me. So what better way to share my fun with everyone and still be a “Mommy” at home, then to start PDW.
Once of my greatest passions is for all things “vintage”. From my home décor with it’s modern vintage flair to my personal sense of style I can’t help but find a new way to use something “old”. On the weekend you can find me scouring my favorite flea markets and antique malls. Of course this spills over into my scrapbooking and to the PDW kits as well. Many of the kits include some of my vintage findings from my weekend treasure hunting that I just know you will love! Visit us at www.polkadotwhimsy.com
