This is My Happy Place

I was so excited when I heard we were partnering with American Crafts and even more excited when I opened my box and saw I got to work with the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

I love the Dear Lizzy collections and was so happy to get the chance to work with it.

HappyPlacec1

My family and I went to Disneyland for spring break, we love Disneyland and have been several times, it’s my happy place.  When I saw the “This is my Happy Place” chipboard I knew it would make a great title for an Instagram mini album for our trip.

HappyPlacec12jpg

The Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Circle 25 and Circle 14 make a great Mickey Mouse embellishment.  I glued down the smaller circles for his ears then added the larger circle with foam tape so it would sit nicely on the ears.  I love how it turned out and ended up using it throughout my mini album.

HappyPlaceP1

This collection was almost like it was made for your Disney photos, the words and embellishments are perfect.

HappyPlaceP2

This is my youngest son’s favorite ride – Splash Mountain, I used the “you are loved” heart sticker and matched the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 to the same colors as the ones on the journaling card.

HappyPlaceP2cu1

I love that you can customize everything, colors, shapes, patterns to the rest of your project.

HappyPlaceP6

When I printed my photos at home on a 4 x 6, I printed 2 3×3 photos and had a strip left so instead of letting it go to waste I printed some really small 1×1″ photos on the strips then added them to a page.

HappyPlaceP7

I really love the Vintage Settings to add some fun embellishments,  I added some patterned paper to the centre then added a sticker on top.

HappyPlaceP10

I added the space ship (ie Eiffel Tower lol) to this picture of my oldest son’s favorite ride Space Mountain. Pew Pew !

HappyPlaceP11

I used the hot air balloon stickers and cut some out from the paper to add to this photo of the Mickey Balloons.

HappyPlaceP12cu1

The chipboard for this collection is lovely, I added another epoxy heart to this page.  I was so thankful for the young lady in front of us who asked if she could take our photo, otherwise you would never know I was there too.

HappyPlaceP14

My youngest son always looks forward to getting the giant pickles when we got to Disneyland – they are yummy.

HappyPlaceP15cu1rs

For the last page I used a photo of Walt and Mickey and added another fun Mickey embellishment.  I am so thankful to Walt for creating such a magical, happy place.  I can’t wait to go back!

Fabric Spring Flowers and Sweet Easter Bunnies

If you’re in need of a sweet Easter basket, look at some of the small boxes you might have laying around or holding things. Dressing one up with some Epiphany Crafts goodies will bring it new life!

I upcycled an empty stationery box to make this little Easter basket. The box was already covered in springy orange stripes, so all it needed was a few embellishments.

I used the Epiphany Crafts round 14 tool to create a center for my fabric flower. I love the green on green!

I also added a tag and pink paper grass. Of course, the box needed to be filled with one of my favorite Easter treats – Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs!

This week Epiphany Crafts has paired up with Bella Blvd. to bring you some totally cute crafty goodness. For my project, I created a gift bag and coordinating mini card. I am totally digging on the pink/navy blue combo, too. Be sure to stick around for a brief photo tutorial on how to create your own gift bag.

user posted image

To create the bag handles, I added some eyelets to the top of the bag and threaded them with ribbon. I tied knots on the ends of the ribbon to secure them to the bag.

user posted image

I embellished the gift bag with EC vintage settings and round 14 bubble caps. I added a few rhinestones for some extra sparkle.

user posted image

I created a coordinating mini card using the same EC vintage setting and round 14 bubble cap.

Here is an easy way to create a gift bag that requires no special tools–just a piece of paper and some adhesive.

user posted image

1. Make a cylinder out of a piece of paper. The size of the paper depends on the size bag you want. My paper was 12″x6.5″.

2. Create creases in the cylinder to create a rectangle shape.

3. Fold in the sides of the bag to create pleats.

4. Fold up the bottom of the bag approx. 1 1/4″. This creates a crease to help you fold the bottom of the bag.

5-6. Fold the bottom of the bag together like you would wrap a present. Secure with adhesive.

7. Now you have the beginning of a cute little gift bag!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi, Fleur here. Today we are swapping with the amazing designers over at the Bella Blvd Blog. For my project I created a mini album using the Bella Blvd Kiss Me Collection, so cute and fun. I made a mini with some of my favorite Instagram photos from 2012.

user posted image

To create this mini album cover a chipboard album with patterned paper and cover the spine with some Bella Blvd washi tape.

user posted image

Add several layers of paper and journaling cards to the front to create a space for your title.

user posted image

Hand cut the title and some embellishments from the patterned paper and to finish it off add some twine and an Epiphany Craft Vintage Settings Clubhouse embellishment.

user posted image

To create the inside of the mini album cut pages from the Bella Blvd paper to the size of your album and bind them together.

user posted image

user posted image

user posted image

I added an Instagram photo to one side and used the other side to add a title, some journaling or other fun embellishments.

user posted image

For each page use the Epiphany Crafts tools and add some fun embellishments.

Send Your Love in Style with Epiphany Crafts!

It’s almost Valentine’s Day!
I was so ready for it since December hehe

Today I have to share with you a “not so Valentine’s” Valentine’s card
Let’s take a look at what I use for this card.

user posted image

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
- Shape tool round 14
- Epoxy round 14
- Vintage Setting clubhouse

How to :

On this card I keep it simple. Didn’t use a lot of technique on it.
First, choose your favorite pattern paper. Then use epoxy and round 14 tools to make a lovely bubble.

user posted image

Glue and set on top of vintage setting.

user posted image

Layer them on top of card base that I create using pattern paper, canvas fabric.
I use gold paint on that canvas then splatted black ink on top.
Stitch around with neon pink thread and called it done !

user posted image

Look how nice and neat it is.

user posted image

As you can see on this card I have added blue, green and block into it so it’s not too Valentine-ey.
I challenged you this valentines to try add a new non-Valentines color into your card.
Have fun !

I took inspiration from the clustered circles to create this layout:

My photos didn’t call for the bright colors of the inspiration pin, but that delicious color palette is saved for future use! I used the button tool in both sizes, as well as the circle tool in both sizes.

user posted image

I added the flower shape, too. To fill in smaller spaces, I used mist, punches, rhinestones and sequins.

Make Every Day a Celebration

We’re celebrating…celebration.

Be they simple and small…large and elaborate or even just every day moments..it’s important to celebrate!

Today Designer Tessa Buys kicks off our week with a beautiful layout celebrating sisters and birthdays…and Epiphany Crafts too!

My layout celebrates my sister’s birthday.

We were on a vacation together in San Diego and on her birthday we went to the San Diego zoo.

We took a tour of the park and the driver sang his own version of Happy Birthday to her. I wanted to document that funny story and Epiphany Crafts tools were just what I needed for a festive page.

user posted image

I used the pennant tool in an unconventional way. I snipped off the corners of the flat end to create arrows. The pennant arrows lead to my title and then to my journaling.

And are very excited to release our new Hexagon Tool and three new designs of Rhinestone Charm Settings!

Happiness is…Epiphany Crafts Tools and Embellishments!

…new fall decor that will be the envy of everyone who visits your home this holiday season.

My fall decor consists of traditional colors with a bit of pistachio green thrown in. My tabletop display was lacking in that color, though, so I decided to turn one of my favorite gratitude quotes into an altered frame, with pistachio green as my color palette and Epiphany Crafts as my embellishment of choice.

user posted image

I used a combination of the small and large round shapes, as well as the small and large round buttons. I backed them with papers from the Acorn Avenue line by Crate Paper.

user posted image

I drew a heart in pencil, then began filling it in with the circles, buttons, and rhinestones for the very small spaces. Once done, I erased my pencil line and drew in the heart. Lastly, I added some washi tape, mist and my quote.

Back to School Altered Tin by Amanda Coleman

Cute little altered Altoids box, right? I wanted the box to have a low profile so it wouldn’t take up too much space or be too bulky. I used a yellow EC Vintage Tea Room setting and my EC Shape Studio Round 14 tool and matching bubble cap to make a custom embellishment. I wrapped strips of paper and stickers around the edge of the box and adhered a piece of baker’s twine to the top of the box.

This little box contains a perfect menagerie of products that a middle or high school aged girl (or even a mom) may need throughout the day: hand sanitizing wipe, pain killer, chapstick, Tide wipe, breath strips, tampon and a ponytail holder. And they all fit so neatly in this discreet little case that will fit in any purse or backpack.

Although my kids are young and are not in need of this type of kit, I like to keep their backpack stocked with elementary school essentials such as tissue and hand sanitizer. This way there is never an excuse for wiping their noses on their sleeves and bringing home all the germs from school.

The contents of this box could be changed to suit any need. You could fill it with crayons for little ones or make a mini first-aid kit. The possibilities are endless! These tiny kits would make fun gifts, too!
