It’s a Birthday Celebration Week

Hi there Epiphany Crafts blog readers, Malika here!  We’re kicking off another fun week…this one a Birthday Celebration!

Today I have a quick, but cute birthday card idea for you!  I used my Silhouette to cut out a cupcake card and then decorated it with some Epiphany Crafts embellishments.

The wrapper of the cupcake is the little envelope for your card.

It’s Xyron Week…We’re Making Summer Memories

Hello, Christina here today. This week Epiphany Crafts is teaming up with Xyron for a week long blog hop and I’m excited to share my project using these products.

Summer is here and the kids are out of school. My girls love to take photos and save all those fun bits of memorabilia just like their mom. I thought it would be fun to create a place for each of them to store those photos and memorabilia and have a place to journal about all their Summer adventures. Starting with my youngest daughter I created this Summer Memories Armoire and I love how it turned out. I can’t wait to make two more for my older girls.

1

2

To make the armoire start by cutting the pieces from the 3D Armoire studio file with the Silhouette Cameo. Apply adhesive with the Xyron Mega Runner to the tabs of the base pieces and assemble to form the armoire and drawer.

8

Use the 5″ Creative Station to apply adhesive to the larger patterned paper panels and adhere them to the armoire.

9

10

I decided to add drawer pulls to the front of the drawer to make it easier to pull out of the armoire. To make the drawer pulls select your patterned paper and punch two circles with bubble caps using the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Tool.

11

Adhere the punched circles to the Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings and add to the front of the armoire drawer.

12

13

Here is a look of what I added to the inside of the armoire.

5

I die cut two frames using my Silhouette Cameo that can be used to hold favorite photos.

3

I also hand cut an additional drawer to fit under the shelf. This can be used to hold additional photos, memorabilia, etc. I added a drawer pull using an Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Metal Setting.

4

In the bottom drawer of the armoire I added a couple of notebooks for journaling that I put together with my Bind-it-All.

6

I adhered a small journaling card with the Xyron Mega Runner to the first notebook. I decorated the second notebook with a couple of the Epiphany Crafts charms.

Hi! This is Jennie and this week we are teaming up with Xyron!!

We got to use their fabulous products including the awesome Mega Runner and Magnet Tape!! I was determined to use the Magnet Tape and a while back I saw an idea on Pinterest to make a travel size Tic Tac Toe Game.

On the outside I used some Vintage Settings to decorate the box.

Tic Tac Toe

For the box I used a tin from Clearsnap and I decorated the box with the Lucky Charm Collection by Dear Lizzy from American Crafts. I used the Round 14 instead of  X & O.

Tic Tac Toe1

I used the horse pattern paper and the hearts as my X & O. They can be kept on the top when the game hasn’t started.

Tic Tac Toe2

I used my Cricut and red cardstock to make the pound sign.

Tic Tac Toe3

Let the games begin!!

Cube It Up with Our Square Punch

It’s Christina here today to share a fun project using the square tool.

My youngest daughter’s birthday is just around the corner and she loves to play with Rubik’s Cubes.

I thought it would be fun to create a note card and a set of gift boxes that look like a Rubik’s Cube to fill with jewelry or other small gifts. These would also make fun favor boxes for a child’s birthday party or a classroom party.

1

The three boxes that make up the cube can spin around like a Rubik’s Cube.

2
3

Each of the three boxes open and can be separated and filled with small gifts or treats.

4
5

To make the cube start by cutting three pieces of cardstock to 6 5/8 x 10 1/4 inches. Score along the 6 5/8 side of the cardstock at 1/2, 3, 3 7/8, and 6 3/8 inches.

8

Turn the cardstock to the 10 1/4 inch side and start by scoring at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, and 10 inches.

9

You will need to choose one of the square sections for the lid and base of the box and add score lines for the tabs as shown below. All three tabs for the bottom of the box are 1/4 inch. The side tabs for the lid are 3/8 inch and the front tab is a 1/2 inch. Be sure to only score to the second line for each square.

10

Cut away the extra cardstock as shown below and taper the tabs.

11

Fold along the score lines and assemble the box.

12

Choose six coordinating patterned papers and use the Epiphany Crafts Square Tool to punch nine squares from each of the patterned papers.

13

Line up the three boxes and adhere the patterned paper squares as show below.

14

To allow the boxes to spin like a rubik’s cube, I used Basic Grey magnetic discs. You will need four of the discs for this project. Adhere two of the discs on the inside of the lids of the bottom two boxes. Adhere the other two discs to the bottom of the top two boxes. The top box will have one magnetic disc on the bottom of the box. The middle box with have two discs- one on the inside of the lid and one on the bottom. The bottom box will have one disc on the inside of the lid.

15

To make the notecard, cut a piece of cardstock to 2.5 x 5 inches, score at 2.5 inches, and fold. Punch nine squares of patterned paper using the Epiphany Crafts Square Tool and adhere to the card front as shown.

6

Stamp the sentiment on the inside of the card with Versamark Ink and emboss with white embossing powder.

Midway Mania with Epiphany Crafts Round and Square Tools

Hi everyone! It’s Kate Vickers here today sharing a layout that I created with Epiphany Crafts Round 25, Round 14 and Square 25 Tools and Bubble Caps.

I used a mix of papers and embellishments from October Afternoon, My Mind’s Eye, Lily Bee and I Lowe Scrap (no, that’s not a spelling mistake!).

These photos were taken at Disney World in front of one of our favorite rides at Hollywood Studios. The Mr. Potato Head is taller than I am and he talks and removed his ear while you are waiting in line!

Midway Mania Kate Vickers for Epiphany Crafts

I created the ‘Midway’ part of my title by combining the Square 25 Tool with actual photos of Scrabble tiles that I printed out on card stock.

Midway Mania Kate Vickers for Epiphany Crafts

One of the patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Midway collection was screaming to be made into embellishments with the Round 25 and Round 14 Tools and Bubble Caps. Here’s a close up.

I used tiny alphabet stickers from Lily Bee to do the journalling at the top of the page.

Mother’s Day Gift Card Holders

Hi Fleur here.  With Mother’s Day just a few days away I wanted to make some special gift card holders for the Mom’s in my life.

MothersDayGiftCardHoldersAll3

For the first gift card holder I cut this cute little purse using my Silhouette and added some fun little flower embellishments using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Flower 25 and the coordinating bubble caps.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders1

To make the flowers punch several of the flower shapes and layer them together covering the top layer with the bubble cap.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders1CU1

For the second gift card holder I cut a little gift pouch and added some fun washi strips and clothespins.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders2

I also added a coordinating button using the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Round 20.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders2CU2

For the third gift box I cut a matchbox shape and added a butterfly with a clothespin.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders3

I used the Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings Round 14 to make a little pull handle for the drawer.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders3CU2

For my last gift card holder I cut a file folder shape and glued the sides together to make a pocket.

And here’s a quick share on the easy way to recreate my bracelet…

photo bracelet how to (1)

First you’ll need to pick a photo to use for the charms. I chose a print from our family’s photo session, two years ago. You need to pick small photos or at least the faces of your family members are small enough to fit into the bubble stickers. I also bought a plain bracelet kit from Wal-Mart that have small rings that let me connect my charms to the bracelet chain.

photo bracelet how to (2)

Then you’ll punch out square shapes from the photo while adhering them onto the bubble stickers at the same time. *You might have to trim your photos a bit around the images so that you can fit the faces perfectly inside the square.

photo bracelet how to (3)

The last is adhering the square bubbles inside the metal charms and then using the rings to adhere the charms onto the bracelet.

I hope you enjoyed my share today and I wish all of the mothers out there a very happy Mother’s day.

Till next time. – Grace

Thank in Style with Our Epiphany Crafts Square 25 Tool

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share with you my first project as an official member of the Epiphany Crafts design team.

Quilting has become a hot trend in paper crafting lately and I thought of incorporating that trend in a Thank you card using the Square tool. I also wanted to add an extra “gift” to the recipient of this card so I added a charm with it.

Let me show you how I made my card….

Thank You Card by Grace Tolman

Supplies needed:

Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Square 25 SST-38
Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps Square 25 SSA-40
Epiphany Crafts Metal Charms Double Square 25 38-46
Pattern paper- Lime Twist, My Mind’s Eye
Card base- Yellow cardstock, WorldWin Cardstock
Ribbon- Seam binding, source unknown
Twine- Carribean, The Twinery
Thread- Coats and Clark
Sewing Machine
Others- Pencil and ruler

DSC_6340

DSC_6345

2. I used a yellow cardstock for my base and I cut it to a 4x 5 ½” card size. Next, I made some slight pencil marks around the front of the card. I’ll use these marks to make sure I center my square papers on my project.

DSC_6347

3. After I had created my grid, I went ahead and adhered my paper squares on my card. I used a repositionable adhesive so it doesn’t move around when I do my machine stitching on the squares.

DSC_6353

4. Then I added some straight stitching on the card. I tried to mimic the “x” stitching that I normally see in quilts for this project.

DSC_6358

5. I also added some machine stitching all around the paper pieced background to ground the design.

DSC_6360

6. Next, I punched out a pretty floral design from one of the papers in the Lime Twist collection. I added a bubble to create an epoxy finish on it and then adhered it to the jewelry metal charm.

DSC_6366

7. Then I wrapped some pink seam binding across the bottom portion of the card and tied the ends into a bow. I then threaded some twine through the top of my charm, finished it off in a bow and then adhered that to the card. I love added little charms to the card. It’s an “extra” gift you can share to the recipients.

DSC_6368

8. The last thing I did was work on my card sentiment. I found this tag as part of the Lime Twist collection but it already had some words on it. To make it work with my card, I cut out a scrap of white cardstock, trimmed it to just cover the words and then added my sentiment with stickers.

And there you have it. A card that’s ready to be given to a friend. They’re going to love your card and even love the charm that you created especially for them.

Our Epiphany Crafts Square and Round Tools Are Fun!

Today we’re happy to bring you a project from New Designer Jennifer Chapin! And while she might be new to Epiphany Crafts…she’s definitely NOT new to paper crafting or scrapbooking!

Just look at all the unique ways she used our Square and Round Tool…can you count how many places??

jenchapin_epiphany (2)

Hi there! Jennifer Chapin here and today I am super excited to be sharing my very first project for Epiphany Crafts! Today I am highlighting the Round 25 and Square 25 tools.

jenchapin_epiphany (3)

I decided to use the square tool to create a diamond like pattern on this part of the layout. It gives the shape a different look!

jenchapin_epiphany (4)

I had these basic grey die cuts that said ‘fun’ and ‘rad’. Since they were already in the shape of a circle it was a no-brainer to use them with the Round 25 tool.

jenchapin_epiphany

I love the dimension that the bubble caps added to my layout. For even more dimension, I adhered them with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

80′s Style Fun with Epiphany Crafts

Hi!! This is Jennie Garcia and today I am sharing an old memory of bad fashion, I bet we all have one of those.

80s style
I made the chevron arrow using a 1 1/4 inch square and the Square 25 Tool and I sewed it in the middle and folded the sides to give it some dimension.

80s style1
I used the Square 25 Tool to punch out some cute rainbows from Momenta Paper.

80s style2
To add to the retro feel I used a Spirograph embellish with a handmade little bow and I sewed on a Round 25 Metal Charm.

80s style3
I got this monkey from a Momenta Paper and I used the Round 25 to add something to the hot air balloon. The air balloon already had the buttons so I only added the Round 14 Bubble Caps to make them pop.

80s style4
Here is a mini tutorial.
