Mother’s Day Gift Card Holders

Hi Fleur here.  With Mother’s Day just a few days away I wanted to make some special gift card holders for the Mom’s in my life.

MothersDayGiftCardHoldersAll3

For the first gift card holder I cut this cute little purse using my Silhouette and added some fun little flower embellishments using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Flower 25 and the coordinating bubble caps.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders1

To make the flowers punch several of the flower shapes and layer them together covering the top layer with the bubble cap.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders1CU1

For the second gift card holder I cut a little gift pouch and added some fun washi strips and clothespins.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders2

I also added a coordinating button using the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Round 20.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders2CU2

For the third gift box I cut a matchbox shape and added a butterfly with a clothespin.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders3

I used the Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings Round 14 to make a little pull handle for the drawer.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders3CU2

For my last gift card holder I cut a file folder shape and glued the sides together to make a pocket.

MothersDayGiftCardHolders4

I added the Epiphany Crafts Rhinestone Charm Square 25 to finish this holder off.

I used the Round 25 Tool along with one of the rhinestone charms to make a necklace, then slipped it into a small jewelry box.

And here’s the card to go with! I kept the colors nice and soft and added a flower. I also added some machine stitching to give the card some texture.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Mother’s Day Idea with Epiphany Crafts

Hello Epiphany Crafts blog readers!

It is Malika here today with a quick tutorial on how to make a sweet little Mother’s Day card using a vellum envelope and a doily and of course some Epiphany Crafts charms.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here are the supplies you will need:

A glassine bag, a doily, a couple different washi tapes, some baker’s twine, two Epiphany Crafts charms in two different sizes, some small pieces of paper and some type of flower for an embellishment

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

First, take the doily and wrap it around the glassine bag.  Leave the top part of the bag open.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Fold the doily over in the back.  This part should look neat, but doesn’t have to be perfect.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Machine stitch around the edge of the little bag to hold the doily in place.  Stitching works great on these surfaces that other adhesives may show through or not stick.  Now the doily is secure and the stitching adds a little extra detail.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Wrap a strip of washi tape around the top of the bag and then use a coordinating washi tape to wrap around bottom of the bag, about a half in up from the bottom.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Add some snips of patterned paper.  Layer them and top with a pretty flower or other embellishment.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Use two different sized Epiphany Crafts tools to make two charm embellishments.  Round 14 and Round 25 are pictured here each with different metal settings.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Wrap some baker’s twine a couple of times around the top strip of the washi tape.  Before tying a bow, string on the two Epiphany Crafts charms.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Tuck a pretty little card and perhaps a gift certificate inside and you have a beautiful Mother’s Day gift!

Step Out in Style with American Crafts

Recently, a student of mine gave me a gorgeous bouquet of hot pink roses.

To say thank you, I wanted to make her something special. So, I combined two of my favorite new releases – Epiphany Crafts’ Rhinestone Charms and American Crafts’ Lucky Charm collection!

1 with border and sig

Create an epoxy using the Round 25 tool and a Lucky Charm floral print. Adhere the epoxy to the round Rhinestone Charm. Bead a necklace using coordinating beads, then add the charm to the necklace.

2 with border

I hope my student loves her necklace. She has a “thing for bling”, so these new charms are right up her alley and I am sure she will love the pretty flowers on the Lucky Charm paper.

Supplies Used:

Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Tool
Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Bubble Cap

Epiphany Crafts Makes Your Heart Sing!

We think this sweet layout and the fun video tutorial will definitely make your heart sing!

Designer Jennifer Chapin walks you through just how easy it is to make your own custom, typed embellishments..so sit back and enjoy!

jenchapin_AC (10)

Hi there! Jennifer here, and today I’m sharing my layout for the American Crafts/Epiphany team up! I had a lot of fun working with these products, and the color combinations are just gorgeous.

jenchapin_AC (11)

I used my typewriter to type a few sayings on some patterned paper, then punched them out with the round tools and applied bubble caps. It’s a great way to create your own custom embellishments! I also used the flower punch along with a brad.

jenchapin_AC (12)

I also created a quick video showing how I made my embellishments.

American Crafts Lucky Charm Hybrid Layout with Epiphany Crafts

Hi everyone!

It’s Kate Vickers here today.

I want to share this hybrid layout that I created using the Star 25 Tool and Bubble Caps, the Round 25 Tool and Bubble Caps and the Round 14 Tool and Bubble Caps with American Crafts Lucky Charm papers, embellishments and digital embellishments.

Hello Beautiful

I used the digital embellishments to create printables in the perfect size for the Round 25 Tool. You can learn how I did that in my YouTube video below.

Hello Beautiful Close Up 3

I also used the digital image to create a printable of the hot air balloon to go with the Round 25 Tool and Bubble Caps. The Round 14 Tool happened to coordinate perfectly with one of the 12 x 12 papers from the collection, called ‘Lucky Coin’. I used that paper to create the cute little heart you see here.

Hello Beautiful Close Up 2

I created this YouTube video to show you how to resize the digital images in Photoshop to fit into your Round 25 Tool. I used Photoshop CS5 for this tutorial, but the process is very similar for Photoshop Elements users.

Thanks for visiting!

American Crafts and Epiphany Crafts and a Little Snow White

Happy Hump Day!! This is Jennie!!

When I printed these photos I had no idea what paper to use since I still wanted to do a Snow White theme but I’m not a fan of the Disney paper out there. But this week we are playing with the Lucky Charm Collection by Dear Lizzy from American Crafts and these colors work great with my daughter’s photos.

Snow White

For my Snow White embellishments I used images that I found on clothing tags and other places and used my Round 25 Tool with Metal Charms.

I used metal cutters to cut the loop and next to the Snow White I used a Round 14 bubble with American Crafts Paper. I splattered a little of gold and white mist around the layout.

Snow White1

Snow White2
I sprayed a bit of white shimmery mist on the mason jar that I got from on of the papers.

Snow White3
For this embellishment I used the jewelry hoop and added some ribbon.

Snow White4
This small Snow White was placed on a Metal Setting.

Snow White5
I made the title with Thickers, I wanted to use the black ones that come with the Lucky Charm pack but, I felt the layout needed more blue.

Snow White6
The journaling tag and the awesome title are from the die cut pack, I just sewed some ribbon and added some sequins and Round 14 bubbles with AC paper.

Snow White7

I hope you enjoyed this AC/EC Team Up!! It was incredibly fun for us.

Take Care!!

This is My Happy Place

I was so excited when I heard we were partnering with American Crafts and even more excited when I opened my box and saw I got to work with the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

I love the Dear Lizzy collections and was so happy to get the chance to work with it.

HappyPlacec1

My family and I went to Disneyland for spring break, we love Disneyland and have been several times, it’s my happy place.  When I saw the “This is my Happy Place” chipboard I knew it would make a great title for an Instagram mini album for our trip.

HappyPlacec12jpg

The Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Circle 25 and Circle 14 make a great Mickey Mouse embellishment.  I glued down the smaller circles for his ears then added the larger circle with foam tape so it would sit nicely on the ears.  I love how it turned out and ended up using it throughout my mini album.

HappyPlaceP1

This collection was almost like it was made for your Disney photos, the words and embellishments are perfect.

HappyPlaceP2

This is my youngest son’s favorite ride – Splash Mountain, I used the “you are loved” heart sticker and matched the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 to the same colors as the ones on the journaling card.

HappyPlaceP2cu1

I love that you can customize everything, colors, shapes, patterns to the rest of your project.

HappyPlaceP6

When I printed my photos at home on a 4 x 6, I printed 2 3×3 photos and had a strip left so instead of letting it go to waste I printed some really small 1×1″ photos on the strips then added them to a page.

HappyPlaceP7

I really love the Vintage Settings to add some fun embellishments,  I added some patterned paper to the centre then added a sticker on top.

HappyPlaceP10

I added the space ship (ie Eiffel Tower lol) to this picture of my oldest son’s favorite ride Space Mountain. Pew Pew !

HappyPlaceP11

I used the hot air balloon stickers and cut some out from the paper to add to this photo of the Mickey Balloons.

HappyPlaceP12cu1

The chipboard for this collection is lovely, I added another epoxy heart to this page.  I was so thankful for the young lady in front of us who asked if she could take our photo, otherwise you would never know I was there too.

HappyPlaceP14

My youngest son always looks forward to getting the giant pickles when we got to Disneyland – they are yummy.

HappyPlaceP15cu1rs

For the last page I used a photo of Walt and Mickey and added another fun Mickey embellishment.  I am so thankful to Walt for creating such a magical, happy place.  I can’t wait to go back!

Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm + Epiphany Crafts

Good Morning blog readers!  It is Malika here again today!  I am going to share with you some pages of a little mini album I am in the process of making.

I am taking the “This is ME” class over at Studio Calico this month and I thought that the Dear Lizzie Lucky Charm paper was a perfect fit for my album.  Even better, I thought I’d use my Epiphany Crafts tools and bubble caps to make my own embellishments.  Here are a couple of ideas of how to incorporate Epiphany Crafts in to your pages!

The cover page is made out of a piece of clear acrylic.  On top, there are scattered sequins mixed with some bubble caps using Round Tool 14.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This page uses the Hexagon Tool, a trendy shape at the moment!  I like to cluster my embellishments and as you can see, not all of my hexagons have bubble caps on them.  That is OK.  I like the look of having the variation, plain hexagons vs bubble capped hexagons.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Round Tool 14 was also used on this page to highlight some of the chevrons on this awesome patterned paper.  Why not mix and match these patterns even more??

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

There was a star die cut in the Dear Lizzy package that worked perfectly with the Star Tool and bubble cap.  The star bubble cap is just placed in the center of the die cut.  Machine stitching holds the die cut in place and the bubble cap seems to be pretty snug in there.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Round Tool 25 fit perfectly over this camera icon to make a cute little embellishment.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Bubble cap stars and beautiful patterned papers are mixed here to make some more awesome embellishments.  I love how the concentric circles kind of look like a solar system.  The Star Tool was perfect for this page.

Create A Pie Chart with our Round Tool

Hello!  It’s Malika here today!  Today I am pleased to share with you my first project for Epiphany Crafts!

Pie Charts are definitely trending in the scrapbook world right now.  So why not make some pie chart embellishments?  They are simple to make and a great way to spice up a layout.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here are the tools you will need:  Round 25 tool, bubble caps, scraps of patterned papers.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Arrange the scraps of paper so that all three overlap at some point close to the edge of the paper.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Open the punch up and slide in the grouping of paper.  Move it around until you find an arrangement that you like.  Put in a round 25 bubble cap and punch away.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Fabulous and trendy pie chart embellishments!
