Sew Up A Sweet Gift with Epiphany Crafts

Hello, Christina here. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and today I am here to share a gift I created for my mom using Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories.

My mom loves to sew so I put together this sewing basket gift box and spool shaped card.

1

Let me show you what I used to put this project together starting with the sewing basket.

8

To make the sewing basket start with a template from My Time Made Easy. Cut all pieces with the Silhouette Cameo, other die cut machine, or by hand, and assemble.

2

Add a couple of paper charms cut with the Silhouette Cameo and a tag from the Echo Park For The Record 2 collection.

3

I added drawer pulls to each of the smaller boxes using Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

6

Choose your patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Studio Tool to punch two circles. Add Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Bubble Caps to each of the patterned paper circles and adhere to Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

4

Remove the prongs from the back of the brads and adhere a small wooden circle or round pop dot to the back of the brad. Adhere the pieces to the drawers.

5

Inside the first drawer I added buttons I made using the Epiphany Crafts Button Tool and accessories.

11

Select your pattern papers and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 20 Tool to punch eight paper circles.

13

Adhere the paper circles to the Epiphany Crafts clear button pieces.

14

Die cut button cards with the Silhouette Cameo, assemble pieces, and sew buttons in place.

12

Inside the second drawer I added spools of thread and a small box I hand cut.

15

I hand cut dividers to separate pins and needles in the drawer.

16

In the lower portion of the basket I added some treats and a gift card to a local craft store.

17

I put together this quick and simple card to give along with the basket. To make the card start by cutting a spool shaped card. I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut this card. Wrap ribbon around the middle of the card, add a metal charm with the sentiment, and finish off with a bow.

9

To make the charm select patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Tool to punch a circle.

7

Stamp the sentiment on the patterned paper with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Add a bubble cap to the top of the circle and then adhere to an Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Metal Charm Setting.

80′s Style Fun with Epiphany Crafts

Hi!! This is Jennie Garcia and today I am sharing an old memory of bad fashion, I bet we all have one of those.

80s style
I made the chevron arrow using a 1 1/4 inch square and the Square 25 Tool and I sewed it in the middle and folded the sides to give it some dimension.

80s style1
I used the Square 25 Tool to punch out some cute rainbows from Momenta Paper.

80s style2
To add to the retro feel I used a Spirograph embellish with a handmade little bow and I sewed on a Round 25 Metal Charm.

80s style3
I got this monkey from a Momenta Paper and I used the Round 25 to add something to the hot air balloon. The air balloon already had the buttons so I only added the Round 14 Bubble Caps to make them pop.

80s style4
Here is a mini tutorial.

Sweet Spring Treats with The Robin’s Nest

Robins nest logo

Welcome to a new week!

We’re pairing up for the first time with our friends at The Robin’s Nest!

Well known for their beautiful Dew Drops!!

Designers Tessa Buys and Christina Hereen kick off this week…

I love the Robin’s Nest tear drops. I thought the green tear drops made perfect flower leaves, so I created a trio of spring-themed cards complete with an Epiphany Crafts center.

First, cut book pages to size. Using a highly pigmented white ink (or watered down acrylic paint), paint flower petals onto book pages. Allow to dry. In the meantime, create round 14 epoxies using book pages and Epiphany Crafts tools. Next, use a pen to outline the petals and draw the stem. Attach epoxy centers and Robin’s Nest leaves using Diamond Glaze or a similar product. Adhere book page to card.

Hello, it’s Christina here to share my project using Robin’s Nest and, of course, Epiphany Crafts.

I used the Purse file from the Silhouette store to cut the treat bag from Robin’s Nest patterned paper and added a closure using Epiphany Crafts tools. To create a closure for the treat bag, start by punching a circle using the Round 14 Tool and Robin’s Nest paper.

user posted image

Remove the prongs from an Epiphany Crafts brad setting and adhere a magnet to the back of the brad.

user posted image

Adhere the brad setting to the front of the flap of the treat bag.

user posted image

Adhere a second magnet to the front of the treat bag and you have a quick and easy closure.

user posted image

I filled small glassine bags with tea bags and homeade treats and added them to the treat bag. This is a quick and fun way to send someone a warm surprise on a rainy day.

Feeling a Bit Lucky with Epiphany Crafts

Top o’ the mornin’! Time to get out those plastic treat tubes you have been hoarding because today I am sharing a couple of fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day treat ideas.

user posted image

I used rainbow stripes and chevrons to create a bright and happy tag. I also used a piece of rainbow striped washi to seal the top of the tube. See the Rolos? They’re the gold at the end of the rainbow.
user posted image

I created a custom rainbow chevron button with my Epiphany Crafts button studio tool. I just love that I can make buttons that coordinate perfectly with my projects!
user posted image

My second treat tube is topped with a shamrock and a rainbow chevron cocktail ring. Not only does the recipient get a cute container full of yummy candy, they also get a custom ring with a tidbit of green to keep the pinchers away on St. Patrick’s Day.
user posted image

I used my EC Oval 25 tool, metal charms, and rings to create this rainbow chevron cocktail ring.
user posted image

The ring fit perfectly around the top of the tube, so to attach the shamrock, I cut a small notch in the shamrock and tucked it behind the ring. I tucked the stem behind the ring, too.
user posted image

I filled the treat tube with a rainbow of Skittles. Perfect for a fun treat on St. Paddy’s day!

Have a fun and safe St. Patrick’s Day!

I took inspiration from the clustered circles to create this layout:

My photos didn’t call for the bright colors of the inspiration pin, but that delicious color palette is saved for future use! I used the button tool in both sizes, as well as the circle tool in both sizes.

I added the flower shape, too. To fill in smaller spaces, I used mist, punches, rhinestones and sequins.

I loved getting out so many fun Epiphany Crafts tools to pull this look together! It was like having a little craft party on my craft table. Thanks Epiphany Crafts and Pinterest!

I love Pinterest for many reasons. I love that I can get new ideas and inspiration from all of the amazing things that people pin and I also love that I can keep all of the ideas in one place. For me it such a time saver and, ok, a time waster (in a good way).

As I was surfing Pinterest, I came across these cute little DIY button coasters and I wanted to see if I could make my own using my Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories.

Here is my coaster. I really like how my coaster turned out. I wasn’t quite sure how it would look and if it would dry nicely but I think with a few changes, it would be just perfect.

user posted image

I have to apologize for the first couple of photos. I took them while I was creating the coaster so the lighting is not the best. I wanted you to see some of the steps I used in the process.

user posted image

First I punched out 16 button circles. Then I attached them to a piece of patterned paper with Glossy Accents, making sure to line them up in a 4×4 grid.

user posted image

This photo shows the first couple adhered down. Then I trimmed the extra paper so that it was the same size as the buttons that were glued down. Then I added a border piece of paper under the button and background paper.

user posted image

Then I flooded the top of the coaster with Glossy Accents. I made sure to get the liquid into all of the cracks and button holes so that it would be water proof. I used a piece of scrap paper to smooth the Glossy Accents over the button and paper border. I let it dry overnight.

user posted image

After the coaster dried, I adhered it to a piece of chipboard and then a piece of white felt. Here you can see my coaster in use.

user posted image

This was such a fun project to make and I know I will be using Pinterest even more for inspiration in my future projects.

Feltie Fabric Tree by Audrey Pettit

Therm O Web Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Button Studio Tool and Round 14 Button Caps
Epiphany Crafts Round 20 Button Studio Tool and Round 20 Button Caps

Other Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories
Ink: Clearsnap
Floss: DMC
Felt, Wool Fabric, Rusty Bells, Polyfill Stuffing

I love to make soft felt plushies for holiday gifts. They look great tied onto a package or stuffed into a stocking, and make a cute little bowl filler or ornament for a tree. Better yet, they are quick and easy to create, making them perfect for those last minute gift ideas.

user posted image

1. Create a triangle template to use as the tree base using a die cut you may have, or a free pattern downloaded from the internet, like my pattern here. Cut template out, pin onto green fabric and cut two triangles per tree. Cut two small squares from brown felt.

2. Lay Round 14 and Round 20 buttons loosely onto one of the cut trees to determine how many of each size you would like on your tree. Create buttons using the Button Studio Tools and patterned paper of your choice. Ink edges of each button with brown ink.

3. Stitch buttons onto one tree using embroidery floss.

4. Stitch the brown squares together, leaving an opening at the top. Fill with stuffing, and pin trunk between the two green triangles. Hand Stitch around the edge of the tree, leaving enough of an opening to fill the tree with stuffing before stitching closed.

5. Stitch bells onto top of tree. Add hanger if desired.

Yes, just like every year, I am scrambling for those last minute gift items. Maybe you are too and can use the two ideas that I have to show you today.

My first project is actually a gift tag and gift rolled up into one. The gift is the necklace made with the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Square Tool and the Metal Charms Double Square Jewelry Settings plus a square bubble cap.

user posted image

I punched out a square from a piece of patterned paper. Then from the same collection I adhered a small sticker letter for their initial. All that got placed in the metal charm. Then I tied a piece of jute string to create the necklace. Talk about a fast project and something that I know that they will love.

user posted image

My second gift idea is for a young daughter or maybe a niece. Little girls love big bows so I made this one from some May Arts ribbon but you could definitely buy a premade bow if you don’t want to make your own. Then I embellished it with the Epiphany Crafts Jewelry Round Metal Settings which really made the bow special.

user posted image

Using the Epiphany Crafts Studio Round Tool, I punched a snowflake from a piece of patterned paper and topped it with a round bubble cap. Then I adhered the stack in the Epiphany Crafts Round Metal Settings. You can see how beautiful the setting is in this close up picture. Then I just used some hot glue to adhere the metal piece to the bow.

Individual goody bags are a fun way to package up small treats and gifts. They are also perfect for gift cards, and best yet, you can create two bags from just one 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, making these as economical as they are cute!

1. Cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock or light weight kraft paper into two pieces that are 8.5 x 5.5.

2. Using a scoring board or bone folder, score the long side at 2″ and 5 3/4″. Rotate the paper and score again at 1/2″ and 4 3/4″.

3. Stamp haunted house onto front panel using black ink. Color the image. Fold the two flaps to the back and secure with adhesive. Fold back the bottom along the 1/2″ score line and machine stitch to hold in place.

4. Create buttons using the Round 14 and Round 20 Studio Tools and Halloween patterned paper.

5. Tie ribbon around bottom of treat bag. Add a Round 14 custom button to the center of the bow. Fold down the top 3/4″ flap and secure a Round 20 button to the flap by sewing through the holes.

6. Stamp sentiment in black ink onto kraft cardstock and punch tag shape using a paper punch or die cut. Edge goody bag and tag with brown ink and tuck tag under the top button.

Stamps – Sweet Stamp Shop Music set

Other materials: Cardstock, Tim Holtz distress stain, Stazon ink, Machine stitching, Bella blvd Washi tape, Gel pen.

Hello…I’ve just being having a little bit of fun playing with some fabulous stamps from the SWEET STAMP SHOP… for all you music lovers! I used the sentiments from the music stamp set to help create my cards. Below the sentiment I used Tim Holtz distress stains and created ink splatters.  I then highlighted each splatter with an epiphany crafts bubble shape. On the inside of the card I created a pocket so that I could place an itunes card inside.
Turning these cards into ready to go gift cards. Thank so much

I used the stamp sentiment right on my photo to make it stand out.  I had been SO excited to try the star punch and knew it would be perfect with the beachy theme. I added little stars all over my page for the finishing touch.
