Get Well Cards

Hi Fleur here, this week is cards week on the Epiphany Crafts Blog.

I love making handmade cards and I know most of my friends and family appreciate receiving them too.

I created two cards for someone feeling under the weather or just someone who needs a hug.

GetWellCards

For my first card I used the new Crate Paper Pier collection and turned one of the chipboard frames into a kleenex box.  I popped it up on foam tape and added a white paper bag behind it to look like kleenex.

GetWellCards1

I created a hexagon border along the bottom.  The hexagons on the 6 x 6 paper pad were almost perfect to use with the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Hexagon 25

GetWellCards1cu3

I added some twine and sequins to finish off the card.

GetWellCards1cu2

For my second card I wanted a more general card and what better than a hug to cheer someone up?.

GetWellCards2

I really love the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25, it’s so versatile and can be used for any occasion.

GetWellCards2cu2

I used another of the chipboard frames to add my stamped sentiment.   For the hug I covered some foam letter stickers with sequins.

GetWellCards2cu3

These cards are sure to make someone feel better.

Organize in Style with Epiphany Crafts and American Crafts

Hello! It’s Christina here to share my project using Epiphany Crafts and the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

I put together this storage unit and added a few scrapbooking goodies to the drawers for my oldest daughter.

1

To make this project start with a KaiserCraft Storage Unit kit, paint all the pieces white, and assemble the unit and drawers.

5

We will need some knobs to open the drawers. Using the Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 Studio Shape Tool punch 3 ovals from patterned papers of your choice.

13

Add an Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 Bubble Cap to each of the punched oval shapes.

12

Add each of the shapes to an Epiphany Crafts Oval Metal Setting as shown below. Paint 3 small wooden discs white and adhere to the back of each of the metal settings.

14

Trim patterned papers to fit the front of the drawers and apply adhesive to each strip.

15

Adhere the patterned papers and knobs to the front of the drawers.

16

Now let’s take a peek inside each of the drawers. I made two small mini albums to fit inside one of the drawers. All my daughter has to do is add some favorite photos, journaling, and any additional embellishments she might want to add to the albums.

3

In another drawer I made some simple paper dividers and added an assortment of embellishments- tags, die cuts, punched shapes, and a brad set.

2

In the last drawer I added a few treats. Who doesn’t like to have a bit of chocolate on hand while crafting, lol.

4

I put two quick and simple albums together for the first drawer. The first of these albums is an accordian tag album. I created my own files in the Silhouette Studio software and cut them with my Cameo. On this side of the album I incorporated a pocket for photos and journaling tags.

6

7

The last page on this side of the album is a matchbook style tag that holds additional tags for photos and journaling.

8

I also made this tag album and added a ring to hold it all together. I also created my own files for this album and cut them with my Silhouette.

9

Here is a look at all of the pages in the album.

10

Here is a look at the two tags that open to reveal additional places to add photos and journaling.

This is My Happy Place

I was so excited when I heard we were partnering with American Crafts and even more excited when I opened my box and saw I got to work with the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

I love the Dear Lizzy collections and was so happy to get the chance to work with it.

HappyPlacec1

My family and I went to Disneyland for spring break, we love Disneyland and have been several times, it’s my happy place.  When I saw the “This is my Happy Place” chipboard I knew it would make a great title for an Instagram mini album for our trip.

HappyPlacec12jpg

The Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Circle 25 and Circle 14 make a great Mickey Mouse embellishment.  I glued down the smaller circles for his ears then added the larger circle with foam tape so it would sit nicely on the ears.  I love how it turned out and ended up using it throughout my mini album.

HappyPlaceP1

This collection was almost like it was made for your Disney photos, the words and embellishments are perfect.

HappyPlaceP2

This is my youngest son’s favorite ride – Splash Mountain, I used the “you are loved” heart sticker and matched the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 to the same colors as the ones on the journaling card.

HappyPlaceP2cu1

I love that you can customize everything, colors, shapes, patterns to the rest of your project.

HappyPlaceP6

When I printed my photos at home on a 4 x 6, I printed 2 3×3 photos and had a strip left so instead of letting it go to waste I printed some really small 1×1″ photos on the strips then added them to a page.

HappyPlaceP7

I really love the Vintage Settings to add some fun embellishments,  I added some patterned paper to the centre then added a sticker on top.

HappyPlaceP10

I added the space ship (ie Eiffel Tower lol) to this picture of my oldest son’s favorite ride Space Mountain. Pew Pew !

HappyPlaceP11

I used the hot air balloon stickers and cut some out from the paper to add to this photo of the Mickey Balloons.

HappyPlaceP12cu1

The chipboard for this collection is lovely, I added another epoxy heart to this page.  I was so thankful for the young lady in front of us who asked if she could take our photo, otherwise you would never know I was there too.

HappyPlaceP14

My youngest son always looks forward to getting the giant pickles when we got to Disneyland – they are yummy.

HappyPlaceP15cu1rs

For the last page I used a photo of Walt and Mickey and added another fun Mickey embellishment.  I am so thankful to Walt for creating such a magical, happy place.  I can’t wait to go back!

BeYOUtiful Layout

Hi everyone!

It’s Kate Vickers here today. I’m excited to be sharing my first project as a Design Team Member here at Epiphany Crafts.

I created this layout using the Round 25 Tool, Round 25 Bubble Caps, Heart 14 Tool and Heart 14 Bubble Caps along with papers and tags from Elle’s Studio.

BeYOUtiful-by-Kate-Vickers

I used Elle’s Studio Tidbits from the Serendipity Collection with the Round 25 Tool. I love pairing the Tidbits with the Epiphany Crafts Bubble Caps. The Tidbits are just a tad bit bigger, but they cut down nicely with the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Tool. Here’s a close up.

BeYOUtiful close up 2

I layered a Heart 14 Bubble Cap on top of a Round 14 Bubble Cap and added an enamel dot from My Mind’s Eye. I find that layering adds a lot of interest to layouts.

Thanks for joining me! I hope that you like my project.

Hippity Hop with Epiphany Crafts and Robin’s Nest

Robins nest logo
You’ll be hip hopping when you see today’s projects!

We’ve paired up this week with our friends at The Robin’s Nest! They’re well known for their Dew Drops and fun paper lines! We loved how Designer Fleur Smith used our Epiphany Crafts Oval Tool to create Easter eggs! Now isn’t that adorable?!!

Hi, Fleur here.

This week we are swapping with the awesome Robin’s Nest. For my project I decided to use the super cute Easter paper and make a card.

user posted image

I cut out the grass strips from the patterned paper and added them to the bottom of the card, then I cut out the bunnies and added them using foam tape to pop up the little one for some dimension.

user posted image

I also cut the “Hippity Hoppity” strip and incorporated it into the title on my card.

user posted image

For a finishing touch I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Oval 25 to add some fun Easter Eggs.

Truly Blessed with Epiphany Crafts!

I am truly a lucky girl, so for our Lucky/Green week here on the Epiphany Crafts blog, I decided to create a fun hanging that celebrates just how blessed I am, today and everyday.

I pulled in a bit of the green, and a lucky shamrock made from Epiphany’s Heart Studio Tool for St. Patty’s Day, but kept the rest of my hanging less holiday specific so that I can enjoy my sweet hanging year round.

To make a lucky hanging for yourself, start by cutting a 5″ x 7″ block of blue patterned paper and layer with yellow sunburst paper. Cut a “hill” from green patterned paper by tracing around a 5″ circle template. I used a small plate to create my curve. Cut out the hill and adhere to the bottom.
*Note: edge all paper pieces with brown ink and white paint for a shabby look.

user posted image

Edge a sun cardstock sticker with brown ink and white paint, and adhere on top of the sunburst pattern using foam adhesive for dimension.

Create three custom embellishments using the Epiphany Crafts Heart 25 Shape Studio Tool. Adhere to hanging using foam adhesive in a clover shape. Add a sticker stem and leaves.

user posted image

Tie trim across the bottom of the hanging. Add a big bow to the left side.

Create sentiment strips and label from patterned paper, stamps, and alpha stickers. Edge with brown ink and white paint. Adhere as shown; use a memo pin to attach the one strip.

Make three buttons using the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Button Studio Tool and yellow patterned paper. Thread with string and adhere buttons to the hanging.

Punch 1/8″ holes in the top corners and thread with white wire for the hanger.

Lucky green! My favorite color!! It also happens to be my birthstone and the color of my eyes. So this was a fun project to create!

I actually have a friend who has a birthday around St. Patrick’s Day so I decided to make a birthday card and gift for her using Lucky Green!

First I cut out the card from Kraft cardstock using my Silhouette. Then I used the Heart Shape Studio Tool to create the shamrock and covered the punched paper Jillibean Soup paper with the heart bubble caps. It’s a rather simple card but that is what I love about it.

This week Epiphany Crafts has paired up with Bella Blvd. to bring you some totally cute crafty goodness. For my project, I created a gift bag and coordinating mini card. I am totally digging on the pink/navy blue combo, too. Be sure to stick around for a brief photo tutorial on how to create your own gift bag.

user posted image

To create the bag handles, I added some eyelets to the top of the bag and threaded them with ribbon. I tied knots on the ends of the ribbon to secure them to the bag.

user posted image

I embellished the gift bag with EC vintage settings and round 14 bubble caps. I added a few rhinestones for some extra sparkle.

user posted image

I created a coordinating mini card using the same EC vintage setting and round 14 bubble cap.

Here is an easy way to create a gift bag that requires no special tools–just a piece of paper and some adhesive.

user posted image

1. Make a cylinder out of a piece of paper. The size of the paper depends on the size bag you want. My paper was 12″x6.5″.

2. Create creases in the cylinder to create a rectangle shape.

3. Fold in the sides of the bag to create pleats.

4. Fold up the bottom of the bag approx. 1 1/4″. This creates a crease to help you fold the bottom of the bag.

5-6. Fold the bottom of the bag together like you would wrap a present. Secure with adhesive.

7. Now you have the beginning of a cute little gift bag!

Have a fantastic weekend!
