BeYOUtiful Layout

Hi everyone!

It’s Kate Vickers here today. I’m excited to be sharing my first project as a Design Team Member here at Epiphany Crafts.

I created this layout using the Round 25 Tool, Round 25 Bubble Caps, Heart 14 Tool and Heart 14 Bubble Caps along with papers and tags from Elle’s Studio.

BeYOUtiful-by-Kate-Vickers

I used Elle’s Studio Tidbits from the Serendipity Collection with the Round 25 Tool. I love pairing the Tidbits with the Epiphany Crafts Bubble Caps. The Tidbits are just a tad bit bigger, but they cut down nicely with the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Tool. Here’s a close up.

BeYOUtiful close up 2

I layered a Heart 14 Bubble Cap on top of a Round 14 Bubble Cap and added an enamel dot from My Mind’s Eye. I find that layering adds a lot of interest to layouts.

BeYOUtiful Close Up 1

Thanks for joining me! I hope that you like my project.

Just a reminder that your local Michaels Craft Stores now stocks our popular Round 25 and Square 25 Tools! Pick those up along with the coordinating Bubble Caps, Charms and more!

Happy Valentine’s Day from Epiphany Crafts!

There’s something about Valentine’s Day that just calls for Conversation Hearts. I don’t care to actually eat the things, but traditions are traditions, after all. And they sure look cute all packaged up in these easy treat containers.

To get started, measure the dimensions of your cello bags and cut patterned paper to fit, leaving about an inch at the top. Slip paper into the bags, fill with candy, fold down the top of the bag and secure with adhesive. I found that adding paper to the bags helps them to retain their shape as they are filled with candy.

user posted image

Die cut scalloped hearts from patterned paper. Then cut a window opening in the center of the hearts by running the hearts back through your die cutting machine with a smaller heart die in the center. Save all the pieces.

user posted image

Adhere largest scalloped hearts to the top of the cello bags. Tie several ribbons together into a big bow and secure with a custom brad made from the Silver Brad Fittings and Round 14 Shape Studio Tool. Adhere bows to the top of the hearts.

Affix smaller hearts to the right side of the larger hearts. Embellish with date strips cut from patterned paper and custom hearts made with the Heart 25 Shape Studio Tool.
Stamp sentiment strips and adhere to the bows.

This is a simple valentine or children’s puppet you can create with a toilet paper roll and a few pretty papers and, of course, Epiphany Crafts punches.

user posted image

You start with a basic toilet paper roll and you cover the roll with some pretty paper. Once the roll is covered you push the center of the top inward and it forms the beginning for your “owl”. Lastly, by adding a few hearts you can create a cute little owl face.

Are they not the cutest??? These can be so fun to create with your children, too!

Gratitude Journal by Lisa Wilkinson

I used so many of the Shape Studio tools to create this cute owl on the cover. I wanted to create a journal that our family can write down things we are thankful for each day from Thanksgiving to Christmas, when we can think about wanting more than giving and what we already have. Simple Stories Harvest Lane and Epiphany Shape Studio Tools were the perfect combination for this project!

As I was working on my December Daily album for the upcoming holiday, a couple of my girls asked if I could make an album for them as well. When I received the Handmade Holiday collection from Simple Stories I knew it would work perfectly with Lori Whitlock’s 3×3 Box Page Mini Album files to create a December Daily that all of my kids could use!

user posted image

The file includes a box that holds three of the 5 page mini albums so I used my Silhouette to cut two of the boxes and five of the 5 page albums. Since I had space for an additional album, but didn’t need it, I hand cut a box to fit the extra space.

user posted image

The additional box was the perfect place to store additional journaling cards for the kids to use when needed.

user posted image

For each of the albums and box I adhered button stickers from the Handmade Holiday Collection to the Round 14 Bubble Caps and added them to the flaps. I also used the small round number stickers from the collection with the bubble caps to label each page so the kids could locate each of the 25 days quickly and easily.

user posted image

Here are a few of the pages. They are all very similar and I kept them simple and easy for the kids to use. I added a few cards to each page for the kids to use, but there is plenty of space for additional journaling cards and any photos they want to include for each day.

Christmas Album by Christina Hereen

My kids are excited to get started and I can’t wait to see what they add to the album each day. I know that each of the kids won’t participate each day, but the box style pages of the album will work great to hold all the photos and journaling cards whether one or all four kids add to the album on each of the days.

It’s All in the Details with Epiphany Crafts

It’s a gorgeous time of year where we see colorful leaves dancing in the air. And today that’s what you see on my layout…. dancing leaves!

This layout has lots of amazing details that all come together beautifully to celebrate…fall!

Fall Layout by Leeann Pearce

Epiphany crafts tools:
EC – Heart 25 tool and bubble cap 25
EC – brad settings
EC – Round 14 and bubble cap 14

Other Materials: Bo Bunny apple cider papers, sentiments stickers and brads, little yellow bicycle chipboard shape and journal tag, twine, wooden beads, wooden mini pegs, studio calico mists.

All the leaves are handmade using a folding technique. I also made that flower. If you look a little closer you will notice the brad on the inside. I used a epiphany crafts brad setting and bubble cap to finish the flower off.

I did the same for the brad on the pumpkins. I love that I can make coordinating embellishments that add those finishing touches.

I also used the epiphany crafts heart 25 and bubble cap. I punched a hole in the heart using a croc-a-dile punch and added the small brad.

Thanks so much
Leeann xxx

Go With The Flow Layout  by Tessa Buys

Epiphany Crafts Used:
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 tool
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 bubble caps
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 silver setting

Other supplies:
Tombow Mono Vellum Adhesive
Scrapbook Circle August kit
Rhinestone Stickers: Jolee’s
Glitter: Pink Paislee

Inspired by the Epiphany Crafts silver setting that I used as my main embellishment, I decided that I wanted to add a bit of shine to my page with silver glitter. I used the Tombow Mono Vellum adhesive runner to stick my sparkles. The clear property of this particular adhesive was great for this application because I couldn’t see the glue in the spots that I didn’t add as much glitter to – just the look I was going for!

I love the way the sparkle from the silver glitter shines like the silver setting. Scattered rhinestones and more round bubble caps finish it off.

Unwind with Epiphany Crafts & Pink Paislee

Have you heard the news?

This week we’ve paired up with our friends at Pink Paislee!

Pink Paislee is known for their innovative products, amazing scrapbook papers, embellishments, themes and much more!

All this week our Designers are working with the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue and seaside themed…Nantucket collection.

Designer Emily Branch has created a beautiful set of cards with the Nantucket Collection along with our Epiphany Crafts Tools and Embellishments!

Greeting Card Set by Designer Emily Branch

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:

Tools: (Heart Studio tool 14 and 25, Square Studio tool, Heart 14 epoxy sticker) Epiphany Crafts

Other Supplies:
Patterned Paper: (Crab Cakes, Clam Chowder, Oyster Bar, Lobster Bisque, Jumbo Shrimp, Clam Bake from Nantucket collection) Pink Paislee.
Accessories: (Ephemera, Chipboard tiles, Trading cards and ribbon trim from Nantucket collection) Pink Paislee.
Fibers: (Baker’s twine) May Arts. (Yellow polka dot trim) BoBunny.
Cardstock: (White) Papertrey Ink.
Border punches: (Wave crest) Fiskars. Pinking Sheers.

This card uses the Square tool to notch a patterned paper strip and to create contrasting photo corners of rich salmon.

This card again shows a notch cardstock strip. The Studio Round Heart is centered among some interlocking hexagon tiles.

The Square Epoxy tool can be used to create borders, like this chevron. Punch a square from patterned paper, trim in half and adhere triangles to card at the halves.

The Heart 25 Studio tool was used to punch the “peeking” hearts. To create “peeking” hearts border, just trim your punched heart where you like and adhere to card.

We’d like to invite you to do two things today…first post a comment and let us know how you liked today’s project mixing  Epiphany Crafts and Pink Paislee!! And then please visit the Pink Paislee blog to see what they’ve created today…and enter to win there too!!
