Sew Up A Sweet Gift with Epiphany Crafts

Hello, Christina here. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and today I am here to share a gift I created for my mom using Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories.

My mom loves to sew so I put together this sewing basket gift box and spool shaped card.

1

Let me show you what I used to put this project together starting with the sewing basket.

8

To make the sewing basket start with a template from My Time Made Easy. Cut all pieces with the Silhouette Cameo, other die cut machine, or by hand, and assemble.

2

Add a couple of paper charms cut with the Silhouette Cameo and a tag from the Echo Park For The Record 2 collection.

3

I added drawer pulls to each of the smaller boxes using Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

6

Choose your patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Studio Tool to punch two circles. Add Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Bubble Caps to each of the patterned paper circles and adhere to Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

4

Remove the prongs from the back of the brads and adhere a small wooden circle or round pop dot to the back of the brad. Adhere the pieces to the drawers.

5

Inside the first drawer I added buttons I made using the Epiphany Crafts Button Tool and accessories.

11

Select your pattern papers and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 20 Tool to punch eight paper circles.

13

Adhere the paper circles to the Epiphany Crafts clear button pieces.

14

Die cut button cards with the Silhouette Cameo, assemble pieces, and sew buttons in place.

12

Inside the second drawer I added spools of thread and a small box I hand cut.

15

I hand cut dividers to separate pins and needles in the drawer.

16

In the lower portion of the basket I added some treats and a gift card to a local craft store.

17

I put together this quick and simple card to give along with the basket. To make the card start by cutting a spool shaped card. I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut this card. Wrap ribbon around the middle of the card, add a metal charm with the sentiment, and finish off with a bow.

9

To make the charm select patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Tool to punch a circle.

7

Stamp the sentiment on the patterned paper with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Add a bubble cap to the top of the circle and then adhere to an Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Metal Charm Setting.

Take A Note About Epiphany Crafts!

I’m so excited about using my Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories with the brand new Kiss Me Collection from Bella Blvd. The colors in the collection just make me happy so I wanted to make something for my desk so I that I could see them all of the time.

user posted image

I love notebooks. For someone who does most everything on a computer and a phone, using a steno pad may seem a bit antiquated. But there is something about sketching and writing my ideas on paper that really appeals to me. So I made a decorated notebook that has a steno pad inside and a matching Post It Note holder.

user posted image

I covered the steno pad with navy blue cardstock. Then I decorated it with the lovely Kiss Me paper.

user posted image

I cut out the flower using my Silhouette Cameo and a Lori Whitlock file and punched the center using my Epiphany Crafts Round Button Studio Tool and tied a bow with twine.

user posted image

The post it note holder was a fun find and a perfect companion to my notebook. I cut the file using my Silhouette Cameo and a file from A Little Hut.

user posted image

I used the Bella Blvd Kiss Me paper to decorate the base and then broke out my favorite Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool, the Flower Button.

user posted image

I punched three flowers for each side of the note holder. I love how they look with the fun paper behind them. The buttons have adhesive on one side and so the paper sticks to it while the shape is punched out.

Hi there Cherry here to share some fun Bella Blvd and Epiphany Craft goodies. I love this collection from Bella Blvd. So whimsical. I had to make a couple of Valentines with it. I challenged myself to keep it cas…which is usually not my style. Kinda like the outcome though! I played with the shapes and fussy cut a few out for the tree and layered them with the heart and size 14 circle bubblecaps for fun. The other card I fussy cut the sentiment out and paired it with the same shapes and several of the pattern papers for interest. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for letting me share. cherry

It’s super easy – here’s what Design Team Member Leeann Pearce made, she filled little Kraft boxes with some chocolates and embellished each one with pattern papers and used epiphany crafts buttons, vintage setters, silver charm setters and assorted bubble caps.

She almost made a negative heart card and filled the heart with an assortment of Epiphany crafts vintage charms, brads and bubble caps. She finished by hand stitching around the heart which made it pop.

I added the flower shape, too. To fill in smaller spaces, I used mist, punches, rhinestones and sequins.

Feltie Fabric Tree by Audrey Pettit

Therm O Web Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Button Studio Tool and Round 14 Button Caps
Epiphany Crafts Round 20 Button Studio Tool and Round 20 Button Caps

Other Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories
Ink: Clearsnap
Floss: DMC
Felt, Wool Fabric, Rusty Bells, Polyfill Stuffing

I love to make soft felt plushies for holiday gifts. They look great tied onto a package or stuffed into a stocking, and make a cute little bowl filler or ornament for a tree. Better yet, they are quick and easy to create, making them perfect for those last minute gift ideas.

user posted image

1. Create a triangle template to use as the tree base using a die cut you may have, or a free pattern downloaded from the internet, like my pattern here. Cut template out, pin onto green fabric and cut two triangles per tree. Cut two small squares from brown felt.

2. Lay Round 14 and Round 20 buttons loosely onto one of the cut trees to determine how many of each size you would like on your tree. Create buttons using the Button Studio Tools and patterned paper of your choice. Ink edges of each button with brown ink.

3. Stitch buttons onto one tree using embroidery floss.

4. Stitch the brown squares together, leaving an opening at the top. Fill with stuffing, and pin trunk between the two green triangles. Hand Stitch around the edge of the tree, leaving enough of an opening to fill the tree with stuffing before stitching closed.

5. Stitch bells onto top of tree. Add hanger if desired.

Yes, just like every year, I am scrambling for those last minute gift items. Maybe you are too and can use the two ideas that I have to show you today.

My first project is actually a gift tag and gift rolled up into one. The gift is the necklace made with the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Square Tool and the Metal Charms Double Square Jewelry Settings plus a square bubble cap.

user posted image

I punched out a square from a piece of patterned paper. Then from the same collection I adhered a small sticker letter for their initial. All that got placed in the metal charm. Then I tied a piece of jute string to create the necklace. Talk about a fast project and something that I know that they will love.

user posted image

My second gift idea is for a young daughter or maybe a niece. Little girls love big bows so I made this one from some May Arts ribbon but you could definitely buy a premade bow if you don’t want to make your own. Then I embellished it with the Epiphany Crafts Jewelry Round Metal Settings which really made the bow special.

user posted image

Using the Epiphany Crafts Studio Round Tool, I punched a snowflake from a piece of patterned paper and topped it with a round bubble cap. Then I adhered the stack in the Epiphany Crafts Round Metal Settings. You can see how beautiful the setting is in this close up picture. Then I just used some hot glue to adhere the metal piece to the bow.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope some of these last minute gifts will be the perfect project for you this week. Both really just take minutes to create with the Epiphany Crafts tools and embellishments and even better than that, they are truly customizable for the person you are making them for. Fluttering Spools by Fleur Smith

I usually try and make something handmade for my family and friends for Christmas and this year I got a head start on my Christmas presents using the pretty Secret Garden and Cherry Delight paper collections from My Little Shoe Box. For my Mom I wanted to make a cute home décor project. She is one of my biggest fans and loves getting my handmade cards and projects every year.

These were so fun to make I might end up making similar ones for friends this Christmas.

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Scalloped Circle 25
Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps Scalloped 25

Patterned Paper and Letter Stickers- My Little Shoebox Cherry Delight and Secret Garden
Wooden Spools – New Image Group
Vintage Photo Distress Ink – Ranger
Twine – My Minds Eye
Wooden Hearts – Studio Calico
Wire – Westrim Crafts

To start I used some distress ink to turn the wooden spools a nice dark brown. I cut some wire that will be used to attach the butterflies and adhered them to the wooden spools with the ends coming out from the top.

user posted image

I wrapped the spools in twine to hide all the wires and added some letter stickers to spell out MOM.

user posted image

I topped off the spools using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Scalloped Circle 25 and the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps Scalloped 25. I cut out some patterned paper and added the Bubble Cap and glued them to the top of the spool. I love how they completely finish this project.

user posted image

I cut out the butterflies from the My Little Shoebox patterned papers and along with some wooden hearts attached them with glue dots to the wires after curling the wire to add movement.

user posted image

user posted image

For the cover or outside of the bag I cut out one of the journaling spots from patterned paper and used it as the base, I added my title and some cut out some butterflies embellished with twine. I cut out some scalloped paper and added it along the top and bottom of the journaling card and used a pen to create some faux stitching. I also used my border punch to give the top edge of the bag a scallop.

user posted image

For the finishing touch to the cover I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Circle 25, Bubble Caps Circle 25 and Metal Charms Round 25 and punched some coordinating paper, cut out some of the blossoms and made a beautiful pendant.

user posted image

For the inside pages of my mini album I cut more journaling cards from the patterned paper to use as the base of the pages and added photos of all the beautiful spring flowers.

I used letter stickers to add some spring words and embellished the pages.

1. Cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock or light weight kraft paper into two pieces that are 8.5 x 5.5.

Hello…I’ve just being having a little bit of fun playing with some fabulous stamps from the SWEET STAMP SHOP… for all you music lovers! I used the sentiments from the music stamp set to help create my cards. Below the sentiment I used Tim Holtz distress stains and created ink splatters.  I then highlighted each splatter with an epiphany crafts bubble shape. On the inside of the card I created a pocket so that I could place an itunes card inside.

Patterned Paper: We R Memory Keepers
Muslin fabric, Polyfill Stuffing, and String: Craft Supply
Spray Mist: Clearsnap and Tattered Angels
Floss: DMC
Sticks

I love, love to make home decor projects for Halloween, and I’m always looking for something quick and easy that I can make for myself, and possibly a few extra for little gifts, too. Where I live in the South, we call these types of things ‘bowl fillers’ because they are small enough to pile together into one big bowl. Love how they look all jumbled up together!

user posted image

1. Cut a piece of muslin fabric. Gather an old plastic bowl and fill the bottom inch of so full of water. Add dye to the water and soak your fabric in the bowl for a minute or two. There are many supplies that will work well for the fabric dye. I used spray mist ink, but you could also use fabric dye, re-inkers, food coloring, or even Kool-Aid powder.

user posted image

2. Remove fabric from the dye solution and allow to dry completely.
Tip: if your fabric is too dark, immediately rinse it under tap water to remove some of the dye before it dries. If it’s too light, plop it back into the bath for a few more minutes. Remember that your fabric will lighten a bit naturally as it dries.

user posted image

3. Create pumpkin patterns from scratch paper. Fold muslin pieces in half and pin patterns to the fabric. Cut out.

user posted image

4. Stitch faces onto the pumpkins. I used excess fabric cut into rough triangles for the noses. The mouths are a piece of hemp string stitched on with black embroidery floss. Create eyes using the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 and Round 20 Button Studio Tools and black patterned paper. Stitch eyes to pumpkins.

5. Pin right sides of fabric pumpkins together, and machine stitch around edge, leaving approximately a 1/4″ seam allowance. Start your stitching from one side, stitching all the way around until you reach the top. Leave the top open. Flip your fabric right side out. Stuff with polyfill batting, add a piece of stick for a stem, and whip stitch top opening closed. Tie fabric and twine around the stem.
