Thanks a Bunch Note Cards! & Spring Giveaway

Hello …are you ready for Easter?

I have a couple of easy peasy treat bags for you today. I made these more as a Spring treat rather than Easter just for something a little different.

Always good to have a little thank-you tucked away for a quick gift. I started with some Cath Kidston style bags and dressed them up simply with stamped tags, ribbons, paper fringe I made by hand, and a little washi tape.

The best part though is the adorable felt flowers I topped off with some Epiphany Crafts vintage settings with the circle 14 bubble caps nestled inside. Sooo cottagey!

Such a lovely and unique way to make something your own. Hope you enjoy! hugs, cherry

As Pretty AS a Picture with Epiphany Crafts!

We’re wrapping up our Pinterest inspired weeks with this final project from Designer Tessa Buys!

I love to look at party decor on Pinterest, and this paper flower backdrop took my breath away:

I took inspiration from the clustered circles to create this layout:

My photos didn’t call for the bright colors of the inspiration pin, but that delicious color palette is saved for future use! I used the button tool in both sizes, as well as the circle tool in both sizes.

I added the flower shape, too. To fill in smaller spaces, I used mist, punches, rhinestones and sequins.

Thinking of You this Holiday Season

We’re just a few days away from Thanksgiving.

Time to gather with family and friends and give thanks for all the good things in our lives

Today we’re thankful for Designer Christine Ousley and her card set and returning Guest Designer Becky Garrison and her fall easel!

Give Thanks Easel by Guest Becky Garrison

Supplies:

  • Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tools Round 25, Round 14, Heart 25, Square 25, Oval 25, Pennant 25, and Button Studio Flower 20, along with coordinating bubble caps.
  • Patterned papers and stickers from Simple Stories ‘Take a Hike’ Collection
  • Brown Ink – Stampabilities
  • Chipboard from my stash
  • White Card Stock

Happy Thanksgiving! That’s right, here in the USA Thanksgiving is only a few days away, and for today’s project I wanted to make something pretty for our Thanksgiving decorations at home.  I made a simple easel and decorated it with lots of fall leaves and Epiphany Crafts bubble caps.

I cut a square from the heavy chipboard and traced a scroll type design on one edge, then cut out with scissors.  I covered front and back with patterned paper and inked the edges with brown ink.  Then I went out into my back yard where there are TONS of un-raked leaves and picked up a few different shapes.  Each leaf was traced onto scrap cardstock to make a template and then used the template to cut my leaves from patterned paper.  I scored and folded ‘veins’ into the leaves and inked them with brown ink as well, then adhered the leaves to the front of the easel.

Using my computer and word processing software I typed several things we are thankful for and added a different font for each.  I then printed these on white cardstock, punched them using the Epiphany tools and inked the edges with brown ink, and THEN applied them to the bubble caps.  I added stickers with the words ‘Give Thanks’ and then adhered the bubble caps to the front around the leaves and stickers.  Using coordinating patterned papers, I punched several flower buttons and added some beige twine, and added them onto the leaves.

Last I made the ‘easel’ from chipboard.  Measure the height of your project, subtract about 1 to 1 ½ inches.  Cut a strip about 2” wide by double the measurement you just came up with.  (Mine was about 6” so I cut a strip about 10” or 6-1=5 x 2= 10.)  Add patterned paper to the side of the easel that will be showing and ink the edges with brown ink.  Cut another strip of chipboard about 3” long and a little bit narrower than your easel stand.  Score and fold about ½” from either end and adhere the ends to the inside of the easel stand.

Now it is ready to place on your mantle, coffee table, or anywhere you would like in your home to remind your family and friends to be thankful on this holiday.  I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and last week.  It truly has been a joy and honor to be chosen as a guest designer here on the Epiphany blog.  And I would like to wish you and hours a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!  Becky

The Fall season is a great time to say thanks so for my project, I created a nice little thank you gift along with a card.

I love to make little notebooks or journals out of a plain pad of paper and cardstock. Then using papers and embellishments I decorate the front.

On my card, I used the Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 Tool to create my focal embellishment. I just love the Metal Charms that you can use with your image and bubble cap. They create such an elegant piece.

user posted image

I also used the Epiphany Square 25 tool to create the punched out spaces on my card. I drew pencil lines on my card where I wanted to line up my tool. I punched on the left side first and then on the right. Then I punched two more pieces from coordinating paper and attached the Square 25 bubble caps. I centered those on my card and then lined up the tool again and punched the last square. Then I put foam adhesive on the back of the paper and attached it to another piece of coordinating pattern paper to create the dimension through the punched out spaces.

user posted image

I also used this same embellishment on the notebook that I made. I threaded a piece of twine through the tiny holes on the sides of the charm to secure it around the papers.

user posted image

Then I added some Petaloo flowers around the charm to embellish the notebook a little more. I love how the vintage flowers complement the Epiphany vintage metal charm.

I had a lot of fun playing with Epiphany Crafts and My Little Shoebox products and put together this gift card box for my daughter. She loves to shop and I thought this would be a fun way to present a gift card to one of her favorite stores.

I cut and assembled the flat round box from My Little Shoebox patterned paper and white Bazzill cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut and assembled the 3D stiletto and adhered it to the top of the box. The flat round box is perfect for giving gift certificates, a handmade card set, mini album, etc. You could also add treats to the shoe itself for an additional fun surprise.

Using my Epiphany Crafts button flower tool, I punched a cherry blossom to make my own custom cherry blossom button. I threaded a stamen through the button holes to give it added dimension.

I used die cut flowers and leaves from the Cherry Delight collection to doll up the top of the box. I added a dab of glue to the center of each flower and added the stamens. Aren’t they brilliant? I found the stamens in the cake decorating section of the craft store.

Glitter: Pink Paislee

Inspired by the Epiphany Crafts silver setting that I used as my main embellishment, I decided that I wanted to add a bit of shine to my page with silver glitter. I used the Tombow Mono Vellum adhesive runner to stick my sparkles. The clear property of this particular adhesive was great for this application because I couldn’t see the glue in the spots that I didn’t add as much glitter to – just the look I was going for!

I love the way the sparkle from the silver glitter shines like the silver setting. Scattered rhinestones and more round bubble caps finish it off.

The oval tool has a nice slim profile, making it fun to create a pseudo masked or window effect on cards. Stamp an image onto a blank card front. Then stamp the same image onto scraps of paper. Use the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio to create embellishments from parts of the colored image and then apply to the card front, matching them up to the plain stamped image on the card. This technique will work with any Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio but the oval is well-suited for narrow images.
