Sew Up A Sweet Gift with Epiphany Crafts

Hello, Christina here. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and today I am here to share a gift I created for my mom using Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories.

My mom loves to sew so I put together this sewing basket gift box and spool shaped card.

1

Let me show you what I used to put this project together starting with the sewing basket.

8

To make the sewing basket start with a template from My Time Made Easy. Cut all pieces with the Silhouette Cameo, other die cut machine, or by hand, and assemble.

2

Add a couple of paper charms cut with the Silhouette Cameo and a tag from the Echo Park For The Record 2 collection.

3

I added drawer pulls to each of the smaller boxes using Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

6

Choose your patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Studio Tool to punch two circles. Add Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Bubble Caps to each of the patterned paper circles and adhere to Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings.

4

Remove the prongs from the back of the brads and adhere a small wooden circle or round pop dot to the back of the brad. Adhere the pieces to the drawers.

5

Inside the first drawer I added buttons I made using the Epiphany Crafts Button Tool and accessories.

11

Select your pattern papers and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 20 Tool to punch eight paper circles.

13

Adhere the paper circles to the Epiphany Crafts clear button pieces.

14

Die cut button cards with the Silhouette Cameo, assemble pieces, and sew buttons in place.

12

Inside the second drawer I added spools of thread and a small box I hand cut.

15

I hand cut dividers to separate pins and needles in the drawer.

16

In the lower portion of the basket I added some treats and a gift card to a local craft store.

17

I put together this quick and simple card to give along with the basket. To make the card start by cutting a spool shaped card. I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut this card. Wrap ribbon around the middle of the card, add a metal charm with the sentiment, and finish off with a bow.

9

To make the charm select patterned paper and use the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Tool to punch a circle.

7

Stamp the sentiment on the patterned paper with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Add a bubble cap to the top of the circle and then adhere to an Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Metal Charm Setting.

Organize in Style with Epiphany Crafts and American Crafts

Hello! It’s Christina here to share my project using Epiphany Crafts and the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

I put together this storage unit and added a few scrapbooking goodies to the drawers for my oldest daughter.

1

To make this project start with a KaiserCraft Storage Unit kit, paint all the pieces white, and assemble the unit and drawers.

5

We will need some knobs to open the drawers. Using the Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 Studio Shape Tool punch 3 ovals from patterned papers of your choice.

13

Add an Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 Bubble Cap to each of the punched oval shapes.

12

Add each of the shapes to an Epiphany Crafts Oval Metal Setting as shown below. Paint 3 small wooden discs white and adhere to the back of each of the metal settings.

14

Trim patterned papers to fit the front of the drawers and apply adhesive to each strip.

15

Adhere the patterned papers and knobs to the front of the drawers.

16

Now let’s take a peek inside each of the drawers. I made two small mini albums to fit inside one of the drawers. All my daughter has to do is add some favorite photos, journaling, and any additional embellishments she might want to add to the albums.

3

In another drawer I made some simple paper dividers and added an assortment of embellishments- tags, die cuts, punched shapes, and a brad set.

2

In the last drawer I added a few treats. Who doesn’t like to have a bit of chocolate on hand while crafting, lol.

4

I put two quick and simple albums together for the first drawer. The first of these albums is an accordian tag album. I created my own files in the Silhouette Studio software and cut them with my Cameo. On this side of the album I incorporated a pocket for photos and journaling tags.

6

7

The last page on this side of the album is a matchbook style tag that holds additional tags for photos and journaling.

8

I also made this tag album and added a ring to hold it all together. I also created my own files for this album and cut them with my Silhouette.

9

Here is a look at all of the pages in the album.

10

Here is a look at the two tags that open to reveal additional places to add photos and journaling.

Patch of Paper Bunnies by Audrey Pettit

Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Square 25 Shape Studio Tool and Square 25 Clear Bubble Caps
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Shape Studio Tool and Round 14 Bubble Caps
Epiphany Crafts Square 25 Silver Charm Settings
Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Silver Brad Settings
Cardstock: Stampin’Up
Patterned Paper: My Little Shoebox, WeRMemoryKeepers, My Mind’s Eye
Vintage Clip Art: Crafty Secrets
Stamp: Stampin’Up
Dies: Papertrey Ink, Sizzix
Trim: Stampin’Up
Ink: Clearsnap, Stampin’Up
Other: Fabric, String, Polyfill Fiber

If you’re looking for a quick and easy last minute Easter idea, try these sweet paper bunnies. They make a great gift, or a fun home decor project. Add a name tag, and these would look great as place settings on your Easter table. And since they are so fast to put together, you can make a whole patch of paper bunnies in no time.

user posted image

Download and print the bunny pattern. Using the pattern as a template, trace the bunny onto patterned paper. Cut out paper bunnies. Edge each bunny with brown ink.

Bunny Pattern

user posted image

Adhere bunnies onto cardstock, leaving enough room for a 1/8″ border. Stack onto a second sheet of cardstock. Stitch around bunnies, leaving the bottom open.

user posted image

Cut bunnies out, leaving a 1/8″ border of cardstock around each rabbit. You now have a little “pocket” in the bottom of the bunnies. Edge bunnies again with brown ink.

user posted image

Stuff openings with polyfill fiber. Use a ruler or wooden skewer to help push the stuffing up into the rabbit. Don’t overstuff, as you will end up with creases in your paper. And don’t worry about getting stuffing up into the ears. Stitch bottoms closed.

user posted image

Now have fun embellishing your paper bunnies with fabric and trim ties, hand-stamped banners, and die cut leaves.

user posted image

Create custom brads for the center of each bow using the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Shape Studio Tool and Silver Brad Settings.

Create custom charms to hang from each bow using the Epiphany Crafts Square 25 Shape Studio Tool and Silver Charm Settings.

Hello! It’s Christina here. Easter is just around the corner and this week we are sharing ideas for making quick Easter treats.

For my project I put together these cute treat boxes using my Silhouette Cameo and the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Round 14 Tool.

user posted image

The Silhouette machine was used to quickly cut the pieces for the treat boxes. Once assembled, Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories were used to add finishing touches to the project.

Start by stamping a sentiment on cardstock. Use the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Round 14 Tool to punch out the sentiment.

user posted image

Add the punched circles to the Round 14 Charm Settings and finish with the Round 14 Bubble Caps.

user posted image

Punch a small hole and add jump rings to the areas where the charms will be used.

user posted image

Attach the charms and the project is complete. These boxes make great treats to give to your kids on Easter and are quick and easy enough to make for class parties or larger groups as well.

Sweet Spring Treats with The Robin’s Nest

Robins nest logo

Welcome to a new week!

We’re pairing up for the first time with our friends at The Robin’s Nest!

Well known for their beautiful Dew Drops!!

Designers Tessa Buys and Christina Hereen kick off this week…

I love the Robin’s Nest tear drops. I thought the green tear drops made perfect flower leaves, so I created a trio of spring-themed cards complete with an Epiphany Crafts center.

First, cut book pages to size. Using a highly pigmented white ink (or watered down acrylic paint), paint flower petals onto book pages. Allow to dry. In the meantime, create round 14 epoxies using book pages and Epiphany Crafts tools. Next, use a pen to outline the petals and draw the stem. Attach epoxy centers and Robin’s Nest leaves using Diamond Glaze or a similar product. Adhere book page to card.

Hello, it’s Christina here to share my project using Robin’s Nest and, of course, Epiphany Crafts.

I used the Purse file from the Silhouette store to cut the treat bag from Robin’s Nest patterned paper and added a closure using Epiphany Crafts tools. To create a closure for the treat bag, start by punching a circle using the Round 14 Tool and Robin’s Nest paper.

user posted image

Remove the prongs from an Epiphany Crafts brad setting and adhere a magnet to the back of the brad.

user posted image

Adhere the brad setting to the front of the flap of the treat bag.

user posted image

Adhere a second magnet to the front of the treat bag and you have a quick and easy closure.

user posted image

I filled small glassine bags with tea bags and homeade treats and added them to the treat bag. This is a quick and fun way to send someone a warm surprise on a rainy day.

Hello Spring Epiphany Crafts Chickadees!!

What a day!

Not only are we sharing more amazing projects with you…we’re announcing our NEW 2013 Design Team!

First up…today’s project from Designer Amanda Coleman!

Although spring is right around the corner, I already have summer on my mind. Today I have a duo of summer inspired cards that are sure to inspire a little bit of warmth on this chilly February day.

user posted image

Nothing says summer like fresh eggs and juicy, ripe tomatoes!

user posted image

The image on this card is near and dear to my heart. We have a bunch of chickens here on the Coleman farm where my 6 y.o. daughter is affectionately known as the Chicken Whisperer. If ever there is a need to catch a chicken, she is the one to do it. She is patient and gentle which inspires trust in the chickens.

user posted image

I used all sorts of round Epiphany Crafts goodness to create a dimensional circle border on this card. I used the Round 25 and 14 tools, the Button 20 and 14 tools, as well as a brad setting. I {heart} my Epiphany rounds!

user posted image

Look at all of those juicy tomatoes! They make me look forward to gardening and canning season!

user posted image

I created a custom tomato embellishment with my EC Round 25 tool to add some dimension to the card. Yum!

Sweet dreams of summer!

Amanda

Patterned Paper: MME

Canvas Die Cuts: Little Yellow Bicycle
Trims: Stampin’Up, Webster’s Pages, The Twinery, Craft Supply
Felt: Sewing Supply
Paint: Delta
Floss: DMC
Other: Recycled Corrugated Cardboard

user posted image

To create this sweet spring wreath, start by cutting a ring from recycled corrugated cardboard. You can make the ring any size you wish, just remember that the larger the wreath ring, the more flowers you will need to cover it. My ring is approximately 6″

Paint the cardboard white and allow to dry completely.

Tie ribbon around the ring and leave the tails long for the hanger. Tie multiple trims together into one big bow and adhere to the ribbon hanger.

user posted image

Die cut lots of flowers from various patterned papers. Die cut leaves from wool felt.

user posted image

Stack die cut flower shapes together to create a whole bouquet of paper flowers. Use foam adhesive between some of the layers to create depth. Add canvas die cut scalloped circles to some of the layers. Secure some of the flowers with Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Silver Brad Settings.

Create custom bubble cap embellishments using the Round 14 and Round 25 Shape Studio Tools. Add bubble caps to flower centers.

user posted image

Adhere flowers to wreath base, some directly and some using foam adhesive. Embellish with die cut paper leaves and hand-stitched felt leaves.

How retro is this stamp set, Old School Rock, from Sweet Stamp Shop? Especially now in the world of iPod, iPhone, iPad, MP3, etc……cassette tapes were the mad mix of some groovy tunes back in the day, eh? I loved making mix tapes! Yes, I’m probably dating myself…(clearing my throat)…but the cassette tape was the focus in building the basis for this layout. Then, I rightly titled the layout, “Rock On & Live Loud”, yep, I can rock it out time to time….I was in jamz & kicking it with Lenny Kravitz when I created this layout. Ha!

user posted image

I added a sticker phrase as the “label” on the mix tape cassette. You know the fun part was always naming your mix tape, right? Ha!

Now for a few close ups & creative highlights….

user posted image

user posted image

Using a mask, I misted the mask and made a graphic feel to the corner of the photo in doing this, kinda’ like the sound wave from the headset. Now, how about that headset, eh? Way before the iPhone ear buds, or whatever you want to call them these days! Ha! This is another cute stamp on the Old School Rock stamp set. I used baker’s twine to add some whimsy leading across my page from the cassette tape to the headset stamp.

Also, I used the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 tool, the coordinating Clear Bubble Caps Round 14, and mounted in the matching Metal Brad Settings: Round 14 – Silver. Gotta’ love instant brads that add some interest to the misted circle graph. I repeated this technique with various scraps of paper and the same Round 14 tool within my layout.

user posted image

I repeated the circle shape of the misted graph circle along withe a simple circle shape cut with my Silhouette Cameo. I brought the title further down onto the shape to connect the page elements. I added a Epiphany Crafts Round 25 tool and the coordinating Clear Bubble Caps Round 25 to the edge of the shape. Also, I used this same tool shape in the title work for the “O” in “rock on”. A neat way to change up your title work from only letters!

user posted image

Then, I added a bit of fun with various lengths of paper & textures cut into banner shapes. Also, another neat way to use all your paper scraps! Also, I used the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 tool, the coordinating Clear Bubble Caps Round 14, and mounted in the matching Metal Brad Settings: Round 14 – Silver.

I hope you enjoyed my project & “rock on & live loud”!

Back to School Pencil Box by Gina Lideros

Back to school in our house always means shopping for new school supplies and pencils. No matter how many pencils I buy at the beginning of the school year they always seem to become misplaced when it comes to needing them for homework. That’s why I created this small little pencil box to keep at home and keep nearby so that is always handy for homework. I’m sure my kids will thank me someday.

Life around my house is crazy this time of year and I need all of the reminders that I can get about what is going on at home and school. Even though I only have 2 kids in school, I still have 3 at home that have activities and appointments as well.

I found this chalkboard in the clearance bin at a local craft store, and as much as I like chickens, neon chickens really aren’t my thing

smile.gif
So I covered the chicken with a sheet of cork board that I got at Wal-Mart.

I glued thumbtacks to the back of the Epiphany Crafts bubble shapes.

I didn’t glue the paper to the corkboard, so I can change it up as often as I like. I love shipping tags for the little notes. I also used a little pocket to stash something small.

How fun is that…you can make thumbtacks easy peasy with our Epiphany Crafts Tools and Bubble Caps! Stop by tomorrow as we continue on our back to school organization week!

Birthday Party Set by Amanda Coleman

I secured the pinwheels with EC brad settings and round 14 embellishments. I absolutely love that I can make brads that perfectly coordinate with my projects! Helmar’s premium craft glue works really well for keeping the embellishments on the brads. For the card I used EC’s pennant tool to make a fun little banner on the top of the card. I also used Helmar’s premium craft glue to secure the sticks to the pinwheels. The glue grabs really quickly so there is not a whole lot of sliding around.
