Step Out In Style with Our Oval Tool
Hi, Christina here today. This week the Epiphany Crafts Design Team is sharing ideas using the Epiphany Crafts Oval Tool. For my project I made these fun map earrings with a matching gift box. It’s a quick and easy project that would make a fun gift.
I used a map patterned paper from a 6×6 Crate paper pad. You could use an old map, too. Start by punching two ovals with bubble caps from the map paper using the Epiphany Crafts Oval Tool.
Adhere the bubble caps to Epiphany Crafts Oval Metal Settings.
You will need 2 jump rings and 2 earring bases. Use pliers to open the jump rings to add the earrings and the oval settings.
Close up the jump rings and your earrings are complete.
To make the matching box start by cutting a 6×6 piece of patterned paper or map. My paper was from a 6×6 paper pad so I was able to skip this step. Score 1 inch on all 4 sides of the paper.
After scoring, each corner should be a 1 inch square. Cut along one of the score lines up to the next score line to form your tab.
Do the same for each of the other three corners. You can also taper each tab so the pieces fit together a bit better.
Fold on all the score lines and add adhesive to all four tabs.
Adhere the tabs in place to form the lid.
Once you have adhered all four tabs in place your lid will be ready.
To make the bottom of the box you follow the same steps, but start by cutting your paper at 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches.
You will also need to make an insert to hold the earrings. Make sure to cut your paper an 1/8 inch smaller than the bottom of the box so it will fit inside the box and then use the same steps as above to make the insert.
Before applying adhesive to the tabs use a pencil to mark where you want your earrings to be placed on the insert and use the Basic Grey Notch tool to cut two slits around the pencil marks.
Use the crop-a-dile to punch holes at the spots you marked with the pencil and then finish assembling the insert.
Add the earrings to the insert and place into the bottom of the box and your gift is ready to share.

Hello Friend Card Featuring Our Oval Tool
Hi there friends. Shape tools are very versatile. In this card I used the oval tool to create my own tulip flowers using pattern paper. Read on to learn how you can recreate this card.
Supplies Used:
Shape Studio Tool Oval 25 SST-37
Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps Oval 25 SSA-39Cardstock- WorldWin Papers
Pattern paeprs- Lucky Charm, Dear Lizzy, American Crafts
Letter stickers- Dear Lizzy, American Crafts
Pen- Millennium, Zig
Mist- Candy Apple, Tattered Angels
Adhesives- Hampton Arts, Scrabpook Adhesive by 3L
To recreate the tulip flowers you will need to punch out oval shapes from pattern paper using the Oval tool. Punch as many as you would like. Papers with smaller prints are best for this project.
Cut a notch on one long end of the oval shaped papers. Adhere them to the card, adding some with foam adhesive for extra dimension. Connect the flowers to the jar/pot with stems created with a black pen.
Add a bubble statement with your card sentiment by using a negative space of a oval shape as a template. Write down your word inside the shape. This will ensure that when you punch out your shape, it won’t cut off any of the letters in your sentiment.
Punch out the word, adding a bubble sticker over it before punching. Adhere to your card.
Thank you for stopping by and if you’ve used your shape tools to create your own handmade embellishments, comment below. I’m always on a hunt for new inspirations on how to use my shape tools in innovative ways.
Till next time- Grace
Have A Heart Key Chain
It’s that time of year when we have a ton of gifts to buy for teachers, coaches, instructors and people who have helped you out throughout the year.
I have a friend who is always there to help out with my kids when I need it and I wanted to show her how much I appreciate her help.
I created a key chain with photos of her daughter from dance and musical theatre class.
I printed the photos small enough to punch out with the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Oval 25 then added each of them to an Epiphany Craft Oval Charm and using jump rings added them to a key chain.
The great thing about the Epiphany Crafts tools is that this gift could be customized for anyone in your life – in fact I have plans to make a few of these over the next few days for my son’s Musical Theatre instructor and Hip Hop instructors.

Our Hexagon Epiphany Crafts Tool is… Well.. Swell!!
I love the new hexagon shape! It’s now my go-to tool for creating embellishments for my more masculine layouts.
This page, about my son and his friend, is just filled with my favorite masculine elements – bold stripes, triangles, a muted color palette, and hexagons!
The angles of the hexagons are so fun to play with. As you can see, I made each hexagon so that a flat edge would rest against whatever part of the layout I was attaching it to. For example, this hexagon is flat up against my photo mat.
This hexagon “stands” on the wood veneer embellishment, so the bottom is flat.
I did the same thing with the hexagon above my photo. Orienting my hexagons this way makes them connect to the content of my page in an eye-pleasing way.
If you haven’t picked up the hexagon tool, you really should! With all the trendy angles in scrapbooking these days, this is a shape you will use again and again.

There is a big Hexagon Trend going on right now and this tool is a must on your collection!!
I made this playful layout using the Midway Collection from October Afternoon.
For some of the images in the Hexagon Bubble Caps I used the 8×8 Midway Pad.
I also used the tickets pages from the 8×8 pad but for the pie chart pieces I used the regular 12×12.
On the camera cut I used a Heart 25 Bubble Cap.

So Much Awesomeness with Our Hexagon Tool!
Good morning! It is Malika here today and I am going to share with you a layout I made using the Hexagon Tool.
Hexagons have been trendy in the world of scrapbooking for a little while now. They are fun to use on their own or to cluster them in a group to make a growing new shape.
The sides match up so nicely, it becomes hard to stop adding more hexagons! For a fun look, use a colorful background paper and add pops of color under the hexagon bubble caps to help bring out some of the colors in the background of the layout. Cluster hexagons together in a couple of spots on the page.
Here is my layout. I have used a grouping of three hexagons at the top.
And then a grouping of two hexagons further down my page.
Now it is your turn! I’d love to see some hexagon projects that you’ve come up with!

Hellooo Hexagon! You’ve Got Style!
Hey there! Jennifer here today, and I want to share a card I made using the Hexagon tool!
Along with some hexagon die cuts I had in my stash, I used the tool along with some bubble caps to create some cute and trendy embellishments for this card.
Another thing I love to do is stitch through my letters, whether it’s on a card or scrapbook page. It gives a bit of extra texture and you can even sew through chipboard! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
