A Trio of Easter Basket Treats!

user posted image

I made a trio of miniature treat baskets out of paper treat cups, a strip of patterned paper, and some twine. So quick! So easy! And as an added bonus, they are a hit with the kids. My kids have been begging for these as soon as they saw them. I think they would make a fantastic party favor for a classroom party.

user posted image

I stapled a strips of patterned paper to the treat cups and wrapped each with twine. The twine gives the paper cups the appearance of a woven basket.

user posted image

I embellished this basket with a my EC round 25 tool. This little chickie is telling a fun joke!

user posted image

I used my EC round button 14 tool to accent the Happy Easter banner on this treat cup.

Easter Treat Bag by Lisa Wilkinson

This little treat bag is perfect for a little spring treat for someone you love. It has a simple kraft sack background, a doilie, layered paper and twine. The little circle and sweet scalloped circle made with the Epiphany tool and bubble cap finish the bag off perfectly. I also added two pennants to the bottom of the patterned paper to add a little cuteness.

It is simple, springy and perfect for spreading a little sunshine!

Get Sophisticated with Epiphany Crafts

Good day to you! Today I am sharing a couple of CAS cards using goodies from The Robin’s Nest and Epiphany Crafts.

user posted image

The Robin’s Nest tear drops make the cutest little dimensional leaves! The small EC metal charms make a sophisticated embellishment on a card, too.

user posted image

The tree stamp I used was solid. To achieve a bark effect, I inked my stamp and then gently swiped or pressed the edge of piece of cardstock onto the inked stamp to remove bits of ink. Voila! A textured tree!

user posted image

I stamped hi between the text on the Classified print. I punched it slightly off center to add some additional interest.

user posted image

I used diamond shaped Dew Drops to make this little sun shine. The EC round 25 tool and bubble caps are great for making a variety of focal points.

Feeling a Bit Lucky with Epiphany Crafts

Top o’ the mornin’! Time to get out those plastic treat tubes you have been hoarding because today I am sharing a couple of fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day treat ideas.

user posted image

I used rainbow stripes and chevrons to create a bright and happy tag. I also used a piece of rainbow striped washi to seal the top of the tube. See the Rolos? They’re the gold at the end of the rainbow.
user posted image

I created a custom rainbow chevron button with my Epiphany Crafts button studio tool. I just love that I can make buttons that coordinate perfectly with my projects!
user posted image

My second treat tube is topped with a shamrock and a rainbow chevron cocktail ring. Not only does the recipient get a cute container full of yummy candy, they also get a custom ring with a tidbit of green to keep the pinchers away on St. Patrick’s Day.
user posted image

I used my EC Oval 25 tool, metal charms, and rings to create this rainbow chevron cocktail ring.
user posted image

The ring fit perfectly around the top of the tube, so to attach the shamrock, I cut a small notch in the shamrock and tucked it behind the ring. I tucked the stem behind the ring, too.
user posted image

I filled the treat tube with a rainbow of Skittles. Perfect for a fun treat on St. Paddy’s day!

Have a fun and safe St. Patrick’s Day!

Hello Spring Epiphany Crafts Chickadees!!

What a day!

Not only are we sharing more amazing projects with you…we’re announcing our NEW 2013 Design Team!

First up…today’s project from Designer Amanda Coleman!

Although spring is right around the corner, I already have summer on my mind. Today I have a duo of summer inspired cards that are sure to inspire a little bit of warmth on this chilly February day.

user posted image

Nothing says summer like fresh eggs and juicy, ripe tomatoes!

user posted image

The image on this card is near and dear to my heart. We have a bunch of chickens here on the Coleman farm where my 6 y.o. daughter is affectionately known as the Chicken Whisperer. If ever there is a need to catch a chicken, she is the one to do it. She is patient and gentle which inspires trust in the chickens.

user posted image

I used all sorts of round Epiphany Crafts goodness to create a dimensional circle border on this card. I used the Round 25 and 14 tools, the Button 20 and 14 tools, as well as a brad setting. I {heart} my Epiphany rounds!

user posted image

Look at all of those juicy tomatoes! They make me look forward to gardening and canning season!

user posted image

I created a custom tomato embellishment with my EC Round 25 tool to add some dimension to the card. Yum!

Sweet dreams of summer!

This week Epiphany Crafts has paired up with Bella Blvd. to bring you some totally cute crafty goodness. For my project, I created a gift bag and coordinating mini card. I am totally digging on the pink/navy blue combo, too. Be sure to stick around for a brief photo tutorial on how to create your own gift bag.

user posted image

To create the bag handles, I added some eyelets to the top of the bag and threaded them with ribbon. I tied knots on the ends of the ribbon to secure them to the bag.

user posted image

I embellished the gift bag with EC vintage settings and round 14 bubble caps. I added a few rhinestones for some extra sparkle.

user posted image

I created a coordinating mini card using the same EC vintage setting and round 14 bubble cap.

Here is an easy way to create a gift bag that requires no special tools–just a piece of paper and some adhesive.

user posted image

1. Make a cylinder out of a piece of paper. The size of the paper depends on the size bag you want. My paper was 12″x6.5″.

2. Create creases in the cylinder to create a rectangle shape.

3. Fold in the sides of the bag to create pleats.

4. Fold up the bottom of the bag approx. 1 1/4″. This creates a crease to help you fold the bottom of the bag.

5-6. Fold the bottom of the bag together like you would wrap a present. Secure with adhesive.

7. Now you have the beginning of a cute little gift bag!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Make Your Own Valentine Jewelry with Epiphany Crafts

Valentine’s Day may be tomorrow, but it is not too late to make a sweet card and custom piece of jewelry using Epiphany Crafts Tools and Charms for your Valentine.

user posted image

I used my EC Round 14 tool, bubble caps, and pendant to create a custom necklace and a matching card.

user posted image

Using paper from Crate Paper’s Fourteen collection, I die cut a sweet little box to house the pendant. The box measures just 2 inches across and is less than 1 inch deep.

user posted image

I stamped the heart on some sweet pink chevron paper and offset it in the circle for a fun and trendy look. My 6 year-old daughter is already eyeballing this necklace.

user posted image

As I was sorting through my Valentine’s Day supplies, I found a stack of red doilies. I mixed and matched Crate Paper’s Fourteen and Paper Heart collections on this card. I paired a doily with a pink chevron print and added some stitching detail. The EC round 14 bubble cap really makes the tiny little heart pop.

user posted image

I stamped a tiny heart on patterned paper and punched it out along with an EC bubble cap and adhered it to the card. I matched up the prints so the bubble cap looks like it is floating right on the paper.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Crafty a Bit of Fun with Pinterest and Epiphany Crafts

If you do Pinterest like I do, you have scores of ideas pinned away for later.

I decided to browse my Crafty Inspiration board for a fun idea and settled on this one–a magnetic tic-tac-toe game in an Altoids tin.

user posted image

http://scrapmatters.com/news_sm/heatherw/s…1/sept11_p3.htm

Here is my take on this pin:

user posted image

Slap some washi tape and some patterned paper on an Altoids tin and you have the perfect mini receptacle for a magnetic tic-tac-toe game. Lemme tell ya, washi tape has made altering Altoids tins SO much easier. Just wrap it around the box and fold over the ends. So easy!

user posted image

Glossy Accents is a fantastic adhesive for adhering metal objects. I adhered some small, super strong magnets to the back of each game piece. Be careful! Those little suckers will attach to anything metal. I had to re-attach some magnets more than once.

user posted image

I created the tic-tac-toe markers using my EC Round 14 tool and bubble caps. I made sure to choose patterns for the markers that my kids (ages 6 and 8) wouldn’t fight over them.

user posted image

Using a craft knife, I trimmed some washi tape to make the lines for the tic-tac-toe board on the inside of the lid.

Now, like another car activity, it is only a matter of time before a fight breaks out and/or parts get lost.

Happy gaming!

A New Year brings with it a whole bunch of birthdays that need celebrating! I created a fun and hip birthday card and tag that are not too frilly and fancy–perfect for teens or the man in your life. The contrasting colors of the stars and sentiment really pop on the card. The sentiment is created with alpha stickers and would be really easy to customize for any occasion. The Epiphany Crafts star tool makes great custom embellishments for birthday cards.

The Round 25 bubble caps will fit into any standard size bottle cap–No need to mess around with liquid epoxy! Also, Glossy Accents works really well for adhering metal to metal.
