Display Your Love in Style with Epiphany Crafts

I love decorating for the holidays and Valentine’s Day is no exception.

Today I want to share this fun photo display I put together.

To make this project start by cutting two 4×12 inch strips from white cardstock.

user posted image

Score the cardstock at 3, 6, and 9 inches along the 12 inch side of the cardstock.

user posted image

Fold along all of the score lines.

user posted image

Add adhesive to one of the end panels of the first strip and adhere it the end panel of the second strip. Be sure your strips are lined up as shown below and the zig zag patterns continues across the two strips when adhered together.

user posted image

Use a paper piercing tool to poke small holes at each fold line about 3/4 of an inch from the top of the display.

user posted image

Weave the crochet thread through the holes as shown below. Once you have the thread in place you can add photos and embellishments to decorate your photo display.

Here are a few close-ups of my decorated display.

Valentine Hugs from Epiphany Crafts!

Valentine’s Day is almost here! We want to share with a couple more ideas for you to make for that special someone.

I have created a couple of cards. I love simple cards and the Epiphany Crafts buttons and bubble caps give them that something extra without a lot of bulk. They are the perfect complement to ribbons, borders, and flowers.

user posted image

I used Bella Blvd’s Lovely Collection to make these cards. I cut a paper flower and used the Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool Heart 25 to create the center for it. I love that I can match the paper of the heart with the whole project.

user posted image

On my second card, I used the Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool Button Flower to create the accent on the ribbon.

user posted image

My last project is a decorated glassine bag, perfect for gift cards. I used Lovely again and cut out the elephant from the cutups.

user posted image

Then I made some grass for him to stand on and added some button flowers to decorate the grass.

Thanks for stopping by. I think I’m all ready for Valentine’s Day, are you?

Hi there!

Cherry here to share a sweet Valentine project recycling vintage heart tins.
I sprayed mine in Ballet slippers pink and gave it a good dusting of glitter. I added button layers inside along with velvet millinary leaves. I used my Epiphany Crafts circle 25 shape studio tool along with the epoxy 25 shape studio bubblecaps to create my focal point …a sweet little cupid. I topped it off with seam bindings, some ribbon to hang it from, and a cute valentine ticket. This would be a great little gift or use for a decoration for V day! Thanks for letting me share!

I took inspiration from the clustered circles to create this layout:

My photos didn’t call for the bright colors of the inspiration pin, but that delicious color palette is saved for future use! I used the button tool in both sizes, as well as the circle tool in both sizes.

I added the flower shape, too. To fill in smaller spaces, I used mist, punches, rhinestones and sequins.

I loved getting out so many fun Epiphany Crafts tools to pull this look together! It was like having a little craft party on my craft table. Thanks Epiphany Crafts and Pinterest!

Grab a Drink with Epiphany Crafts!

I love Pinterest for many reasons. I love that I can get new ideas and inspiration from all of the amazing things that people pin and I also love that I can keep all of the ideas in one place. For me it such a time saver and, ok, a time waster (in a good way).

As I was surfing Pinterest, I came across these cute little DIY button coasters and I wanted to see if I could make my own using my Epiphany Crafts tools and accessories.

user posted image

Here is my coaster. I really like how my coaster turned out. I wasn’t quite sure how it would look and if it would dry nicely but I think with a few changes, it would be just perfect.

user posted image

I have to apologize for the first couple of photos. I took them while I was creating the coaster so the lighting is not the best. I wanted you to see some of the steps I used in the process.

user posted image

First I punched out 16 button circles. Then I attached them to a piece of patterned paper with Glossy Accents, making sure to line them up in a 4×4 grid.

user posted image

This photo shows the first couple adhered down. Then I trimmed the extra paper so that it was the same size as the buttons that were glued down. Then I added a border piece of paper under the button and background paper.

user posted image

Then I flooded the top of the coaster with Glossy Accents. I made sure to get the liquid into all of the cracks and button holes so that it would be water proof. I used a piece of scrap paper to smooth the Glossy Accents over the button and paper border. I let it dry overnight.

user posted image

After the coaster dried, I adhered it to a piece of chipboard and then a piece of white felt. Here you can see my coaster in use.

user posted image

This was such a fun project to make and I know I will be using Pinterest even more for inspiration in my future projects.

Pin It Up in Style with Epiphany Crafts!

Hi, Fleur here. I have a confession…I am addicted to Pinterest (I know I am not the only one).

I tend to spend way too much time looking at all the amazing projects and photos.

I found these cute little Matchboxes on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make some for Valentine’s Day.

user posted image
I also found some really cute button bookmarks and bobbypins to make for a little gift inside the box.

user posted image

user posted image

Here is what I created:

user posted image

To make the matchboxes, cut box template from patterned paper and fold.

Add a cut our heart and using the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Tool Round 14 and the coordinating Button Studio Accessories create a button.

Epiphany Crafts with a Cherry on Top!

Hi there!
Cherry here to share my Pinterest inspired project with you today!
I was inspired by this cute pic…I was drawn to the fabric and the sweet cherry on top.
I decided to create a mini pincushion of sorts using fabric and chipboard for my backing.
Wouldn’t this make a cute Valentine gift for someone special or display in your craft room.
Cherry Pincushion by Cherry Nelson
Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
Epiphany Round 14 tool, 14 bubblecaps
Epiphany Pennant tool, pendant bubblecaps
Other Supplies:
chipboard- Maya road
fabric- joanns
quilt batting- JoAnns
felt- Paper Trey ink
gingham ribbons- JoAnns
buttons- Paper trey ink
stick pins- Joanns
heart charm – Michaels
1) Gather supplies
2) Adhere adhesive backing to fabric (it will help it stay smooth with no wrinkles).
3) Cut decorative edging with pinking shears
4) use diecut to cut cherry stems and leaves (if you do not have diecut you could easily freehand).
5) Cut two labels from diecut (for front and back)
6) Start whip stitching almost all the way around, leaving space to stuff with fiberfill. Finish stitching .
7)  Adhere your “cherries”( use Epiphany tool and size 14 bubblecaps) , stems, and leaves.
8) Paint your chipboard red and adhere your fabric and stitch all the way around.
9) Adhere your “pincushion” to chipboard.
10) Pull ribbon through and tie bows.
11) Embellish your stick pins using charms, pearls, and Epiphany epoxies.  I used the pendant to create a mini banner.

Wear a Bit of Love with Epiphany Crafts

We’re back this week with all new projects that have been inspired by “pinned” images we found on Pinterest.
Pinterest has rapidly become a worldwide sensation. It’s a visual paradise of recipes, home decor, scrapbook pages, beautiful cards, hairstyles, kids crafts and more! If you haven’t opened the door to Pinterest…we highly suggest it…and please come follow us there too!
Today Designer Lisa Wilkinson has a project that you’ll love to wear and share!
Here is what I was inspired by:

and here is what I made:
This simple necklace was created for a simple Valentine’s Day gift. The dictionary necklace inspired the heart shaped pendant actually made with scrapbook paper and not dictionary pages.
Ribbon and baker’s twine was twisted to form a “chain” instead of a tradition metal chain. Also, a coordinated holder for the necklace completes the “love”ly gift.
Epiphany Crafts Supplies:

Crafty a Bit of Fun with Pinterest and Epiphany Crafts

If you do Pinterest like I do, you have scores of ideas pinned away for later.

I decided to browse my Crafty Inspiration board for a fun idea and settled on this one–a magnetic tic-tac-toe game in an Altoids tin.

user posted image

http://scrapmatters.com/news_sm/heatherw/s…1/sept11_p3.htm

Here is my take on this pin:

user posted image

Slap some washi tape and some patterned paper on an Altoids tin and you have the perfect mini receptacle for a magnetic tic-tac-toe game. Lemme tell ya, washi tape has made altering Altoids tins SO much easier. Just wrap it around the box and fold over the ends. So easy!

user posted image

Glossy Accents is a fantastic adhesive for adhering metal objects. I adhered some small, super strong magnets to the back of each game piece. Be careful! Those little suckers will attach to anything metal. I had to re-attach some magnets more than once.

user posted image

I created the tic-tac-toe markers using my EC Round 14 tool and bubble caps. I made sure to choose patterns for the markers that my kids (ages 6 and 8) wouldn’t fight over them.

user posted image

Using a craft knife, I trimmed some washi tape to make the lines for the tic-tac-toe board on the inside of the lid.

Now, like another car activity, it is only a matter of time before a fight breaks out and/or parts get lost.

Happy gaming!
