1. Cut a rectangular piece of burlap for the base of your pocket. You can make your pocket any size you wish. Keep in mind that you need an 1 1/2″ allowance at the top and about 1/2″ at the side. My starting burlap piece is about 9″ x 8.5″.

2. Lay a long piece of seam binding ribbon across the top edge of the burlap, then fold down 1 1/2″ and stitch along the bottom edge, creating a pocket in which the seam binding can move freely.

3. Create three flower embellishments using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Flower 25, the Clear Flower 25 Caps, and the patterned paper of your choice.

4. Die cut several different-sized circle embellishments from felt to create the flowers. You will need a 1″ scalloped circle for each flower. For the largest flower, add two larger circles and one pinked-edged circle.

5. Stitch the flower Clear Caps to the scalloped circles using embroidery floss. For the largest circle, stitch this piece to the other layers of die cut felt. Cut small slits in the plain circle pieces. Lightly swab flowers with yellow ink. Stitch flowers in a row across the middle of the burlap. Stitch stems.

6. Cut a piece of muslin the same size as the burlap. Fold down the top edge and machine stitch muslin to the wrong size of the burlap.

7. Fold burlap in half and machine stitch down the left side and across the bottom to create a pocket pouch.

8. Embellish with trims across the top and bottom of the pouch. Hand embroider two leaves on yellow felt and stitch leaves to the bottom of the center flower stem.

9. Add buttons made with the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Tool Round 14 and Round 14 Clear Button Caps to each flower stem. Tie hang tag string into a bow and add with a final button to the bottom of the central flower.
